continues today with Linda Rake!
Linda is a dedicated professional currently serving as the Housekeeping Supervisor at Fort Bluff. Since joining the organization in May 2024, she has demonstrated strong leadership, initially serving as the Assistant Housekeeping Manager before being promoted to her current supervisory role in January 2026. Linda finds deep fulfillment in the collaborative, prayer-centered environment at Fort Bluff and is committed to the mission of serving others.
Before her current tenure, Linda spent 15 years at Spruce Mountain Inn, a mental health treatment facility in Plainfield, Vermont. Her career there began in housekeeping, but her diverse skill set led to a promotion to Operations Assistant. In this multifaceted role, she managed a wide array of responsibilities, including:
• Overseeing housekeeping supervision, grounds maintenance, fire safety compliance, and coordinating with state inspectors.
• Managing staff scheduling, procurement of supplies, and hiring contractors for facility projects.
• Coordinating psychiatric appointments, maintaining medical records, and assisting nursing staff with client medications.
• Managing repairs and records for company vehicles and even performing hands-on tasks like refinishing wood furniture.
Linda’s professional life is marked by a deep commitment to service and community. Before moving to Tennessee in 2023 to be closer to family, she spent 15 years supporting her husband’s pastorate in Northfield, Vermont, where they ministered to homeschool families and students from Norwich University. She approaches her work with a spirit of stewardship, valuing teamwork and faith-based decision-making in all she does.
We are thankful for your service, Linda! 💚
