As a reminder, only those Orthodox Christians who are properly prepared are invited to receive Holy Communion. Everyone is invited downstairs following Divine Liturgy for Coffee Hour and Fellowship. Come down and meet Fr. Luke and the parishioners. Our parish offers many opportunities to pray, to study and learn more about Jesus Christ and His Holy Orthodox Church. PREGNANCY LOSS MEMORIAL SERVICE

October is recognized as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. During this time, our parish will hold a memorial service to remember the precious children lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion.

On Tuesday, October 27, at 6:00 PM, we will serve the Molieben (supplication service) for Those Who Grieve at the Loss of an Infant.

If you have experienced the loss of a child, we invite you to consider having your child remembered by name during this special service.

"The constant memory of thy parting, in truth, has become for us a cause for sorrows and tears. For before tasting the beautiful things of this life, thou hast departed the earth and the bosom of thy parents. But Abraham’s bosom shall receive thee as an infant that had no part in any defilement." - Molieben for those who grieve at the death of an infant or during pregnancy

The Orthodox Church celebrates the Cross of Christ, which transformed an instrument of suffering and death into a source of light, hope, victory, and eternal life.

The Feast commemorates the finding of the True Cross by Saint Helen, the mother of Emperor Constantine, in Jerusalem.

When the Cross was lifted for the people to see and venerate, the faithful responded with the prayer: “Lord, have mercy.”

The Cross reminds us that God can transform even suffering into salvation, weakness into strength, and darkness into light.

As we look upon the Cross, may we remember Christ’s love and His victory over death. May the Cross guide our families, strengthen us in difficult moments, and remind us to carry our own crosses with faith, humility, and hope.

☦️ “Save, O Lord, Your people and bless Your inheritance; grant victory to the faithful over their adversaries. And protect Your commonwealth, by the power of Your Cross.”

We’re deeply grateful to Father Luke B. Mihaly, pictured here with Mary Condron, LCSW, Managing Director of Counseling Services at Regional Hospice, for helping to support our bereavement efforts for our patient’s family members and anyone in the community who has experienced loss
