Steve Kennedy will lead the service on A Covenant of Solidarity. How do we honor Labor Day in times of oligarchy and authoritarianism? Behind the familiar three-day weekend is a history of communities organizing for dignity, security, and a voice in their working lives, often in the face of violence and repression from employers and governments. By formalizing and mythologizing the networks of mutual care and aid that sustained workers through immense struggle, what have we gained, and what have we lost? This service will explore the power of solidarity, and what labor history can teach us about confronting authoritarianism, institutional violence, and inequality today. At a time when so many forces seek to isolate us from one another, we will consider how communities can build the relationships, courage, and collective power that we need to stand together.

State and city leaders addressed the recent rise in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in Danbury Wednesday, saying they plan to hold ICE accountable and protect Connecticut’s immigrant community.

Lisa Kathleen Tancredi with Annie Senol will lead the service on How Do We Know? Finding Clarity in a Noisy World. Every day we are pulled in countless directions by expectations, opinions, fears, desires, and the endless noise of modern life. How do we know which voice to trust? How do we recognize the difference between fear, conditioning, and the deeper wisdom that can guide us toward what is truly right for us? In this talk, Lisa Kathleen Tancredi explores what psychology, spirituality, and neuroscience have to say about intuition and inner knowing, and shares practical ways to recognize and strengthen our connection to this deeper guidance. She will also lead participants through a simple somatic practice to help access greater clarity, balance, and insight.

Lisa Kathleen Tancredi is a coach, speaker, educator, and end-of-life doula who helps people navigate life's challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and meaning. Drawing on decades of study in neuroscience, meditation, yoga, philosophy, trauma healing, and spiritual traditions, she explores the intersection of science, wisdom, and human experience. Lisa's work focuses on helping people reconnect with their inner resources, access deeper insight, and find steadiness in times of change and uncertainty.
