May 31, 2026 - Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
Parish Announcements

1. Father's Day novena envelopes are available on the gifts table in the narthex.

2. Exposition and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament will follow the 9 a.m. Holy Mass next Sunday. Please remember this is scheduled every month on the first Sunday.

3. Members of the St. Charles Lwanga and Companions ministry are invited to attend Holy Mass together at 4 o’clock on June 3rd. A social will follow in St. Gerard Hall. All are invited.

4. This June the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. People around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart. Here in the Archdiocese of Atlanta the diocesan consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will take place at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Atlanta on Friday, June 12th. Due to spacing concerns Holy Masses will be celebrated at local parishes as well. The consecration will take place and Holy Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul on June 12th at 12 noon. The novena will begin on June 3rd. Please see our parish website for details on how to pray the novena leading to the consecration.

5. Our Parish Safety Team invites adult parishioners to a Civilian Response to Active Threats presentation on June 14th at 1:30 p.m. If you cannot attend this session, another one is scheduled to take place this summer. A sign-up sheet is posted in the narthex or if you prefer a QR code is posted to sign up online.

6. Children ages 4-12 are invited to join our Vacation Bible School, June 22-26th, for a trip back in time to ancient Rome. They will learn about the Apostle Paul, create Biblical projects, play ancient games, and sample Mediterranean food. Adult and teen volunteers are needed, as well as donation items. Please see the poster in the narthex for more information.

May 17, 2026 - Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord
Parish Announcements

1. The St. Charles Lwanga and Companions Ministry, an African parishioner fellowship, will be holding their next meeting on May 17th in classroom six at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome for fellowship and prayer.

2. Weekday Holy Masses, that is Monday through Wednesday, will not be celebrated May 18th through the 20th. Confessions will not be heard, and adoration will not take place on Wednesday.

3. The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a blood drive and pancake breakfast on May 24th.

4. On Sunday, May 31st, prior to the 9 a.m. Holy Mass, we would like to acknowledge our recent high school and college graduates. We invite you to join us and when asked please stand to receive a special blessing from Father Adrian. For additional information contact Mary Ware.

1. Parishioners are invited to gather at the church on the 13th of every month at 7 p.m. to pray the Rosary for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Fellowship will follow for one hour.

2. Our Parish Safety Team invites adult parishioners to a CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter) presentation on May 16th at 1 o’clock. In today's unpredictable world, the unthinkable can become a reality without warning. But knowledge is power, and preparation can be the difference between victim and survivor. This adult only training module empowers civilians to take decisive actions during the critical moments of an active shooter event. If you cannot attend this session, two others are scheduled to take place this summer. The dates are posted in the narthex as well as a signup sheet. A QR code is posted if you prefer to sign up online.

3. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Sunday, May 17th, at the 12 noon Holy Mass. All are invited and welcome to join us. We are expecting a large crowd and will have overflow seating available in the social hall.

Exposition and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament will also take place during that time in the nave as it is the First Sunday of the month.

2. First Holy Communion for our young people will be celebrated on Saturday, May 2nd, at the 4 o’clock Vigil Holy Mass. All are invited and welcome to join us. We are expecting a large crowd and will have overflow seating available in the social hall.

3. On Sunday, May 3rd after the 9 a.m. Holy Mass, our last day of religious education classes, we will crown Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth and pray a Living Rosary in Simpson Hall. Children will be able to lay a flower before Our Lady and receive a treat. Exposition and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament will also take place that morning following the 9 a.m. Holy Mass in the nave as it will be the First Sunday of the month.

April 19, 2026 - Third Sunday of Easter
Parish Announcements

1. Mother's Day novena envelopes are available on the gifts table in the narthex.

2. Recent directives from Archbishop Hartmayer outline a new course lowering the age requirement of those receiving the sacrament of confirmation as well as a shift to family catechesis. This will be implemented over the next several years. In the Fall, seventh through twelfth grade classes will move to Wednesday evenings. Kindergarten through sixth grade classes will continue to meet on Sunday mornings. A question-and-answer session will be held this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. in Simpson Hall. Additional information will follow in the bulletin in the upcoming months.

3. Elementary Activities for our young people will take place this Sunday following the 12 noon Holy Mass from 1 until 3 p.m. in Simpson Hall. Please contact Annette Hew for additional information.

4. Vacation Bible School will be held the week of June 22nd. Please mark your calendars. Additional information will be available soon.

April 5, 2026 - Easter Sunday, the Solemnity of the Resurrection of the Lord
Parish Announcements

1. The parish office will be closed on Monday, April 6th.

2. Weekday Holy Masses will not be celebrated April 6th through the 8th. Confessions will not be heard, and adoration will not take place on Wednesday.

3. Exposition and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament will be moved to the second Sunday of the month in April.

March 29, 2026 - Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord
Parish Announcements

1. The Wednesday Holy Mass time on April 1st will be moved to 12 noon due to a funeral. Neither adoration nor confessions will take place that day.

2. The Funeral Holy Mass for Claudia Justice will be celebrated on April 1st at 12 noon.

3. Holy Mass will not be celebrated at St. Vincent’s on Tuesday. Instead, everyone is invited to join the Archbishop and priests of the Archdiocese of Atlanta for the Annual Chrism Mass. Holy Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Christ the King at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st.

4. We hope that you are planning to join us for all of St. Vincent de Paul's Holy Week liturgies and events. Holy Mass on Holy Thursday will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Our Good Friday liturgy will consist solely of the Solemn Liturgy of the Passion of Christ at 3 p.m. The Easter Vigil Holy Mass will begin at 8 p.m. Holy Masses on Easter Sunday will be celebrated at 9 a.m., 12 noon and 3 p.m.

5. Parishioners are invited to keep vigil with the Lord in the Garden of Repose during all night adoration following the Holy Thursday Mass. A volunteer sign-up sheet is posted in the narthex.

6. The custom of blessing the food for Easter arose from the discipline of fasting throughout Lent. Easter was the first day when meat and other foods could again be eaten. You are invited to join us in this tradition by bringing your basket of food to be blessed on April 4th at 4 p.m.

7. Exposition and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament will be moved to the second Sunday of the month in April.

The second collection is for Christians in the Holy Land. This pontifical collection allows for care of Christianity’s holiest sites and for God’s people living in the Holy Land.

March 22, 2026 - Fifth Sunday of Lent
Parish Announcements

1. Elementary Activities for our young people will take place this Sunday following the 12 noon Holy Mass from 1 until 3 p.m. in Simpson Hall. Please contact Annette Hew for additional information.

2. The Stations of the Cross will be prayed in the nave on Fridays, at 6:30 p.m. during Lent. A Lenten meal, hosted by the Knights of Columbus, will follow at 7 p.m. Baked or fried fish will be available as well as cheese quesadillas, hushpuppies, cole slaw, mixed vegetables and other sides.

3. We hope that you are planning to join us for all of St. Vincent de Paul's Holy Week liturgies and events.
