Today is Good Friday.

On this day, we remember that Jesus Christ willingly went to the cross… not for His sins, but for ours. He suffered, bled, and died so that we could be forgiven, redeemed, and saved.

But the question is—have you truly been saved?

The Bible says,
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves…” (2 Cor. 13:5, KJV)

Here are some biblical tests for salvation:

• Have you repented of sin, believed in Jesus, and received Him?
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

• Do you love other Christians?
“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren…” (1 John 3:14)

• Do you sense the presence of the Holy Spirit?
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:” (Romans 8:16)

• Do you desire to obey God?
“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.” (1 John 2:3)

• Do you desire to read your Bible?
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” (1 Peter 2:2–3)

• Do you experience answered prayers?
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” (1 John 5:14–15)

If you can honestly answer “yes” to these questions, your conversion is valid. And remember:

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” (John 10:27–29)

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38–39)

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:13–14)

If you have asked Jesus to save you, He has done so.

But if you have not been saved…

Why would you wait?

Good Friday is your reminder that the price has already been paid. Jesus died for you. He loves you. He is ready to save you—right now.

Here’s how you can be saved:
1. Recognize your need.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)

2. Understand the consequence of sin.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

3. Believe that Jesus died for you and rose again.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

4. Repent—turn from your sin to God.
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…” (Acts 3:19)

5. Call on Him by faith.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

Call on Him today.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Good Friday shows us the depth of God’s love—now it’s your turn to respond to it.
