Sunday at Deeper was a beautiful picture of the body building up the body—welcoming first-time guests, pouring into our children, lifting Jesus in worship, praying for one another, and receiving the Word together. 💙

In ROOTED: The Gift That Builds, Pastor Alix, our Discipleship Pastor, reminded us:

🎁 Every believer is gifted.
🙌 The gift belongs to God before it belongs to us.
🤝 It is given by grace and meant to be spent on others.
❤️ Serving promotes healthy relationships.
📖 Teaching promotes healthy lifestyles.
🗣️ Encouragement promotes healthy hearts.

We do not serve from an empty place. We serve because Christ has served us. We teach because we sit at His feet. We encourage because He encourages us.

“God has given each of you a gift…use them well to serve one another.” —1 Peter 4:10

You are gifted. Now, who will you build with what God has placed in you?

Spiritual maturity isn’t measured by manifestation—it’s revealed by FRUIT. 🍇❤️The Spirit can use you POWERFULLY while still developing something deeper within you!

Sunday’s message wasn’t only something we heard—it was something we saw.

Throughout Deeper Church, different members of the Body were worshiping, praying, welcoming guests, teaching our children, serving one another, and sharing the Word—all under the direction of Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church.

Pastor Rohan Thompson taught from Romans 12:4–6:

“Difference is necessary for the body to function.”

Our different gifts are not a threat to our unity; they are part of God’s design. The Body needs what God has placed inside each of us. Therefore, we must refuse comparison, pride, and division and choose humility, care, and faithful stewardship.

Pastor Rohan also brought biblical clarity to the gift of prophecy. Prophecy is Spirit-directed communication—not primarily the prediction of future events. According to 1 Corinthians 14:3, its purpose is to build up, exhort, encourage, and comfort God’s people.

Because every gift is given by grace, it must be handled with humility. Prophecy is not above examination. It must be evaluated, tested by Scripture, and never allowed to compete with what God has already revealed in His Word.

The biblical pattern is clear:

God gives.
The believer speaks.
The church evaluates.
The church receives what is genuinely from God.

What you need is in the house. God has placed gifts within His people to strengthen and serve the entire Body.

We are all meant to be DIFFERENT parts of the body✨

We have ALL been conditioned to value some things more than others. Whether you value your boss more than your co-worker, or you value your pastor over another church volunteer, the Bible makes one thing clear: none of us were made to operate in the same way!! God has designed us all to operate in UNIQUE ways in order to contribute to the body of Christ!

Last night, Deeper Church had the privilege of hosting a Safety & Security Training facilitated by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office (Paulding Sheriff's Office).

We’re grateful to Lt. Rickey Waters and Capt. Kevin Dutton for sharing their knowledge, experience, and practical tools to help us better prepare to serve and protect the people God has entrusted to our care.

A special thank you to Sheriff Ashley Henson for helping make this training possible, and to our pastoral team, ministry leaders, and volunteers who invested their time to learn, prepare, and grow together.

At Deeper, creating a welcoming environment also means being intentional about creating a safe one. 🤍

It’s growth season at Deeper Church! 🌱

Grow Sunday was filled with worship, prayer, the Word, joy, and meaningful connection across generations. We had a blast meeting our small-group leaders and discovering opportunities to build relationships, strengthen our faith, and grow in community—because God never intended us to grow alone.

In our ROOTED series, PD Sue shared, “The Fruit Must Govern the Gift.” We were reminded that being gifted is not the same as being mature.

The gift may reveal what God can do through us, but the fruit reveals what God is doing in us.

A gift is a stewardship, not a status symbol. God gives through us because He loves the people around us. So we will pursue love, desire spiritual gifts, keep in step with the Spirit, and let the fruit govern the gift.

Our gifts may make people aware of our ministry, but our fruit should make people aware of Jesus.

This is more than a season to join a group—it’s a season to become more like Christ, together. Let’s go deeper! 💙

YOU ARE GOD'S DISPLAY✨

Every believer has a gift. God uses our wisdom, mercy, encouragement, teaching, generosity, and compassion to make His Spirit visible in the world. The church is not a building, it's God's people. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are God's display. 🙌🏽

Today’s reminder from 1 Corinthians 12: you belong, and you are needed.

The Body of Christ was never designed for comparison, competition, or self-sufficiency. We are many parts, one body—and God has intentionally placed each of us where He chooses.

Your difference does not disqualify you. Your lack of visibility does not diminish your value. And your lack of a platform does not mean you lack purpose.

Diversity is God’s design. Division is not.
We need one another. ❤️
