I have a message for graduates and for all of us journeying through life that I will deliver tomorrow. It’s titled, “His Greatness in my Weakness.” The apostle Paul wrote: “We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” 2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT

In the message I’ll be sharing something beautiful from Japanese culture called Kintsugi (kin-TSOO-gee)—which means “golden joinery.” It’s the art of taking broken pottery and restoring it, not by hiding the cracks, but by filling them with gold-dusted lacquer. The result? A piece that is not only repaired, but now more valuable, more beautiful, and more meaningful than it was before it broke.
