Happy Wednesday Adventurers and Families!

We hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. April’s Adventures meeting is this coming Sabbath, April 19. Can you believe it?

Remember as always, we have Potluck first, so come hungry and if you like, bring a dish to share. Then afterwards, starting at 1:30 we’ll begin our meeting.

We’ll continue talking about God’s Character and focus on God is Wise where Teacher Codi will tell us the story of King Solomon. Then we’re going to work on our Sand Art honor and create some pretty cool art projects for you all to take home.

We’ll also have a fun easter surprise for you all.

God is the Master Gardener 🪴 That was our theme for March’s Adventures meeting. Kids learned about the Garden of Eden and Gethsemane. They also learned about what it takes to plant and take care of a garden.

Then Teacher Kristen taught the kids about birds nests and eggs and their importance as well.

Teacher Diana and the rest of us parents then pitched in and help these littles plant their own flower and herb gardens to take home.

A seed can grown into so many beautiful and wonderful things. Just like these kids. May they continue to grow with the love of Jesus in their hearts and share it with the world.

We’ll continue talking about God’s Character and focus on God is the Master Gardener. We’ll learn about the different “gardens mentioned in the Bible. Then the kids will make a beautiful nature craft with Teacher Kristin and learn about bird nests and eggs. Then to cap things off at the end, Teacher Diana will help you all make your own flower and vegetable garden to take home.

“Friendship and Kindness.” That was our theme for our February Adventures meeting. We studied the story of two best friends, David and Jonathan and how it was stronger than armor. Then we talked about what it means to be kind. Everyone gave an example of how they could be kind to someone and more importantly how they can be kind to themselves. One idea? Treat yourself to an ice cream. Then we talked about how we can make friends and start a conversation. Favorite conversation starter question? “If you could be any animal, what would it be?” An octopus was my favorite.

So kids you have an assignment. Try and make at least one new friend and practice your kindness. Always remember, Jesus is your best friend 💕❤️

We’ll continue talking about God’s Character and focus on Friendship and Kindness. The kids will learn about the story of David and Jonathan and their friendship that withstood everything. Kids will then learn about Acts of Kindness where we’ll help kids learn about ways they can be kind to others and share that with others. And what a better way to learn that than making some postcards for elderly residents in Dinuba and Reedley. They will know us by our works and acts of kindness.

Encouraging others. That was our Adventures theme for December. Learning the story of Paul and how he was an encouragement to Timothy, all the kids learned they too can be an “encouragement to others” by sharing kind words, a Bible verse, or just a hug, to make others know that they are loved and cared for by God. The kids made Bible verses handprint art as well as Christmas snow globes for themselves and others. What a beautiful group of children and both Diana and I have been so blessed to work with them.
