David was young when he began His journey with God. He had spent time in the fields while watching after his father's sheep. Singing songs to the Lord. Playing with a sling and a stone til he was accurate at hitting his targets. Fighting bears and lions trying take from his fathers flock. He was just doing what was expected of him and following his own course. God had bigger plans for David's life than David understood. One day while just doing what he was told of his father. He would encounter one of his most well known battles. The armies of Israel and their king in despair over a giant taunting them. David was to young to go to war so he was told of his father to go check on his older brothers and see how they are doing at the battle and take them some things. When he got there he saw everyone hiding and heard the giant speaking "give me a man, that we may fight together." David in his youth would respond with "who is this uncircumcised philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God!" While everyone else was hiding this "boy" was stirred in his spirit against this evil. David kills the giant because he believed God would use him to do it. Not because he was strong enough and good enough but because he had seen God do powerful things already. He "knew" God would deliver him out of the enemies hand!

We released these 2 youngins to the next phase of their lives yesterday and know that Gods plans are greater than we understand. Our job is to train them up. Jehovah has the blueprint. They will face lions and bears and goliaths. But what are they to the Living God?!?! Greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world! We send you out among wolves! But you are not alone!!!!

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord! this is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! Let's lift up the name of the Lord Jesus with all that is in us.

Youth led worship this morning. We come with expectation that the Holy Spirit will move among us and touch lives near and far. May the Word of the Lord touch your hearts too.
