Good morning White Oak Church family and Facebook friends! Thank you for joining us for today’s worship experience at White Oak United Methodist Church! We sincerely apologize for the interruption in our worship service due to a poor streaming connection. We appreciate your patience and understanding and are grateful that you worshiped with us!

Today, Rev. Dr. Alfred Boyd Jr. challenged us with a powerful message: “ARE YOU LIT OR LUKEWARM?” — Revelation 3:15

Cold water refreshes. Hot water heals. But lukewarm water doesn’t do much of anything.

The question is simple: Are you LIT for Christ, or have you become LUKEWARM?

God didn’t save us to sit on our hands. He saved us to SERVE! You don’t have to be the loudest, most talented, or most visible person in the room. You simply have to be WILLING!

•Don’t just occupy a seat—IGNITE YOUR FAITH!
•Don’t just attend church—BE THE CHURCH!
•Don’t be lukewarm—GET LIT FOR CHRIST!

So, as you go into this new week, ask yourself:

“AM I LIT OR LUKEWARM?”

Here are a few highlights from today’s College/School Spirit Day Service, and what a wonderful day it was!

We were blessed by the amazing Dance Ministry Team from PEY Academy in Hazlehurst, who shared their gifts and talents with us and helped make today’s worship experience truly special.

Our members also had an opportunity to show their school spirit throughout the service, celebrating the schools, colleges, and universities that hold a special place in our hearts. From the colors and shirts to the smiles and fellowship, the spirit was alive at White Oak!

Following worship, members gathered in the Fellowship Hall for a wonderful fellowship brunch filled with good food, plenty of laughter, great conversation, and beautiful memories.

Most importantly, as we fellowship we were reminded about the message: “Too Blessed to Be Bothered”
1 Samuel 17:26–30

David refused to allow someone else’s negativity, doubt, or distractions to steal his focus from what God had placed before him.

Don’t let one person steal your joy.
Don’t let one conversation ruin your day.
Don’t let somebody else’s negativity distract you from your blessing.

We are TOO BLESSED TO BE BOTHERED!

What a beautiful day of worship, fellowship, school spirit, laughter, and love at White Oak United Methodist Church, the church where Jesus Christ is in the Center & His Love is all around!

Good morning, White Oak United Methodist church family and Facebook friends!
Thank you for joining us for worship at White Oak United Methodist Church, whether you were able to worship with us in person or connect with us online. We are so glad you’re here!

We sincerely apologize for the technical difficulties with our social media feed during today’s worship experience. We know some of you may have experienced interruptions or difficulty joining us online, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

But even when technology doesn’t cooperate, GOD IS STILL GOOD!

Today, Rev. Dr. Alfred Boyd Jr. delivered a powerful and timely message: “TOO BLESSED TO BE BOTHERED!” Scripture: 1 Samuel 17:26–30

DON’T LET SOMEONE ELSE STEAL YOUR BLESSING!

One of the greatest reminders from today’s message is this:

Stop giving one person the power to erase your good day.

Don’t let one conversation erase God’s goodness.

Don’t let one disappointment make you forget about your blessings.

Don’t let one bad person define your entire life.

And don’t let the person who weighed you down this morning make you forget about the GOD WHO WOKE YOU UP THIS MORNING!

You have to decide what gets to live in your spirit and what doesn’t get to live there.

Remember I’M TOO BLESSED TO BE BOTHERED!

Every day, we have a choice.

We can feed the flesh, or we can feed our faith.

We can give our anger more attention, or we can give it to God.

We can have a broken day, or we can allow God to use the day for His glory.

Somebody may be able to affect your circumstances, but they do not have to control your spirit!

Yes, people will hurt us.
Yes, people will disappoint us.
Yes, people will say things that make us want to respond.

We may want to defend ourselves.
We may want to get even.
We may want them to feel what they made us feel.

But sometimes faith simply says:

“God, I’m putting this in Your hands.”

Stop trying to control what you cannot control.

You cannot control what someone else says.
You cannot control what they do.
You cannot control how they treat you.

BUT YOU CAN CONTROL YOU!

You can control your response.
You can control your attitude.
You can control your actions.
You can control what you allow to take root in your spirit.

So today, make a decision:

That you will not give another person the power to steal your peace.

You will not allow their bad attitude to become your bad attitude.

You will not allow their brokenness to break you.

You will not allow their negativity to overshadow God’s goodness.

Because ONE DISAPPOINTMENT DOES NOT ERASE YOUR BLESSINGS.

ONE BAD MOMENT DOES NOT ERASE GOD’S FAITHFULNESS.

And ONE DIFFICULT PERSON DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER TO DEFINE YOUR LIFE!

Today, remember your choosing…

•GOD.
•PEACE.
•FAITH.
•JOY.

And most importantly…

YOU’RE CHOOSING TO BE TOO BLESSED TO BE BOTHERED!

If this message blessed you today, drop a hallelujah in the comments and share this post with somebody who needs this reminder!

What are YOU choosing today?
