Ascension of Salida-Little Shepherd in the Hills Little Shepherd is the smallest Episcopal Church in Colorado. Services held the first and third Sunday of every month at 2 pm. Services are held every Sunday.

The Episcopal Church of the Ascension is a friendly, welcoming and inclusive church family. We celebrate the Eucharist on the first Sunday of the month at 2pm. We are a mission of the Church of the Ascension in Salida and Fr. Yesu, their priest, comes down once a month. Our door is always open to those wishing to pray, meditate, or enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Please feel free to stop by.

Little Shepherd's Episcopal congregation is seeking an accompanist for our Sunday worship at 2 p.m. the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. We're music enthusiasts who enjoy a variety of genres along with traditional hymns. Previous experience playing for a church encouraged but not required. Contact the Rev. Sunday, 8/30/2026 - The Episcopal Church of Ascension - Salida

Today, we said farewell for now to our dear member Heather as she begins a new chapter in Pueblo. We send her with all our love, prayers, and support.
We gathered together for breakout group sessions, sharing and discussing how God is present and working in each of our lives. We then continued in worship, fellowship, and a time of treats and celebration as we honored Heather .
Heather, your presence has been a blessing to our church family. You will be deeply missed, but we know that the love, joy, and kind spirit you have shared with us will remain in our hearts always. May God bless you and guide you on this new journey. You will always be a part of our church family. ❤️🙏

There is something truly special about coming together in faith, fellowship, and community. Our annual multi-church outdoor service was a beautiful celebration of the unity we share in Christ. We were blessed with a meaningful reflection from Sam Kearley, whose words encouraged and inspired us, followed by a joyful picnic and wonderful fellowship on the beautiful campus of Little Shepherd Episcopal Church. What a gift it is to worship, share, and grow together in faith!
