LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
FOLLOW GOD AND RECEIVE HIS PROMISE.

Caleb and Joshua were the only two among the twelve spies who gave a positive report to Moses, declaring that they could possess the land God had promised them. The rest were pessimistic because of the giants living there. As a result of his faithfulness, Moses promised Caleb a mountain as an inheritance.
Forty-five years later, when Caleb was eighty-five years old, he said to Joshua:
"Now, as you can see, the Lord has kept me alive and well as He promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise—even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five years old. I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then. So I'm asking you to give me the hill country that the Lord promised me.” (Joshua 14:10-12)

Because Caleb wholeheartedly followed God, he knew without a doubt that the Lord would fulfill His promise to him.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
GOD’S VALUE SYSTEM

What is important to you? What keeps you going every day? Is it money, power, popularity, or career? You have to settle this issue: what is really important?
If you look at these things through the lens of a lifetime, they may seem valuable—but through the lens of eternity, they are worthless.
Charlemagne was one of history's most powerful emperors and is often called the "Father of Europe." He ordered that he be buried seated on his throne, wearing his crown and royal mantle, with the Gospels resting on his knees.
180 years later, when his tomb was opened, they found only skeletal remains. Charlemagne's bony finger was pointing to Matthew 16:26: "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

His final message was clear: earthly power and possessions are left behind at death; only the soul lives
for eternity, whether in heaven or in hell. Only those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ go to heaven.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
CHILDREN, OBEY

When you obey your parents, you are not doing them a favor; rather, you are doing it for God, and therefore doing yourself a favor. The blessings of doing the will of God always belong to the doer.

The biblical context of this command assumes that parents love God with all their heart, soul, and strength, and are teaching these truths to their children according to Deuteronomy 6:5-9.
When you obey, Colossians 3:20 says, "...obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord." Jesus Himself pleased God the Father as an obedient Son.

Pleasing God is the greatest expression of love you can offer.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
BE WHO GOD MADE YOU
Don't try to be somebody else. God made you for a purpose; He made you for a plan. Moses knew who he was. Although he was found as a baby in the river by the princess of Egypt and grew up as a prince, he "refused" to be called one.
The word "refused" literally means to reject, to deny, or to disown. Moses cut himself off from a promising career as the next pharaoh because he refused to live a lie. Instead, he returned to his original identity.

This world will push you to identify with its sinful ways, but God wants you to turn back to Him and become a child of God through repentance and faith.

The Apostle John wrote, “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.”

Turn back to God and be who He made you to be. You belong to God and His purpose. Outside of Him, there is no true satisfaction.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
FAITH AND RESPONSIBILITY
Faith and Responsibility God is always ready to perform miracles, but our lack of faith can hinder us from seeing them. We often miss His power because we fail to do our part: to believe and obey.
Consider the story of a drowning boy. The village's strongest swimmer volunteered to rescue him. He tied a rope around his waist, threw the other end into the crowd, and swam out.
When he safely secured the boy, he shouted, “Pull in the rope!” But no one was holding it. Caught up in the
excitement of watching, no one realized it was their responsibility to pull.

We see this same truth when Lazarus died. Before Jesus performed the miracle, He commanded the people to roll the stone away. Martha and the crowd doubted, but it was only after they obeyed and moved the stone that they witnessed Lazarus raised from the dead.

God will do the miraculous, but He calls us to believe and obey. True faith requires action.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
MONEY OVER GOD
The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. People are corrupted by money because it grants them power and control.
Much of the political chaos we see around the world today stems from the love of money rather than a love for God.
Greed drives corruption, injustice, and oppression, ultimately resulting in the destruction of societies.
At the height of the American Civil War, Rev. Mark R. Watkinson wrote to Treasury Secretary Salmon P.
Chase, suggesting that the nation's dependence on God should be reflected on its money. As a result, the phrase "In God We Trust" eventually appeared on U.S. currency.

When our pursuit shifts from seeking God to seeking money—focusing on work rather than worship—we fall into a trap. Money itself is not evil, but when it becomes your master, it inevitably leads to ruin and destruction.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
YOUR IDENTITY
It is said that Dwight L. Moody once asked his audience, “Tell me, how can I get the air out of this glass?”One man replied, “Suck it out with a pump.” Moody answered, “That would create a vacuum and could shatter the glass.” After several impossible suggestions, Moody picked up a pitcher of water and filled the glass. “There,” he said, “all the air has now been removed.” He then explained that victory in the Christian life does not come by trying to remove one sin after another, but by being filled with the Holy Spirit.

If you receive the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit lives within you. Your true identity comes from Him, not l from material possessions or your position in life.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE
I read that at 29 years of age; Charles G. Finney became known as a lawyer. He had never owned a Bible, but he later added one as a reference book to his law library. When he started reading it, the Bible gradually replaced his interest in Blackstone and the Statutes of New York. His heart was changed, and he said goodbye to his clients with the announcement that he "had a retainer from the Lord Jesus
Christ to pursue his cause."

He became an evangelist to America and the British Isles, and he founded the Broadway Tabernacle of New York City.
This all happened because a "reference book" somehow got
from a library shelf into Charles G. Finney’s heart, and he obeyed the commands of God within its pages.
He was a lawyer who lived by the laws of man, but who ultimately found the law of God to be the perfect cure for the sin that curses humanity.
