Who Is Your Neighbor?

Jesus told the story of a man who was beaten, broken, and left on the side of the road. Two people saw him and kept walking. Then a Samaritan stopped.

He didn't ask if the man deserved help.
He didn't ask if they were friends.
He didn't stop to consider whether it was convenient.

He simply saw a need and chose compassion.

Sometimes we're so busy getting where we're going that we miss the people God has placed right in front of us.

Maybe being a good neighbor looks like stopping.
Maybe it looks like listening.
Maybe it looks like forgiving.
Maybe it looks like helping someone who can never repay you.

Jesus' command was simple:

"Go and do likewise." - Luke 10:37

No matter where you’ve been, Jesus invites you to come!

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

You don’t have to have it all together before coming to Christ. He welcomes the weary, the broken, the searching, and the hopeful with open arms. His grace is enough, His love never fails, and His invitation is still open today.

If you’ve been carrying a heavy burden, let today be the day you lay it at the feet of Jesus. He is ready to give you peace that only He can provide.

You may notice some big changes are underway at Heidelberg Church! 🚜

We’re excited to be expanding our parking lot to make room for all that God is doing in our church. As He continues to bring new faces through our doors, we’re thankful for the opportunity to welcome even more people with a place to park and a place to belong.

Today is a beautiful reminder that God is still changing lives!

What a joy and privilege to celebrate with these precious individuals as they publicly declare their faith in Jesus through baptism. This isn’t the end of their story—it’s the beginning of a lifelong journey of following Christ.

As a church family, we rejoice with you, pray for you, and commit to walking alongside you as you continue to grow in your faith. May you always remember God’s unfailing love, His amazing grace, and the promises you’ve declared today.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Congratulations to each of you! We praise God for what He is doing in your lives and at Heidelberg Church. ✝️
