Church!
It's only been about 50 hours since church on Sunday, and we're curious... How are you doing with it?
Like, really... How are we doing with what we learned?
We learned that He promises that if we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, He will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.
We also learned that there are many examples of false humility, false prayer, false seeking, and false turning.
Anger is just one thing that can get in the way of His promises for our lives. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires (James 1:20).
Just like we saw from Cain, Moses, Jonah, Saul, and Peter on Sunday, we MUST lay down our bitterness, our unproportional explosions, our pouting when things go wrong, our insecurity manifesting as jealousy, and our defensive impulsivity and trade those crowns in for His promises for our lives, our futures, and the futures of those around us (2 Chronicles 7:14).
So let's be honest with God, ourselves, and those we trust around us, by truly humbling ourselves, praying, seeking His face, and turning from our wicked ways.
