***UPDATE ON Stella***


My Dear Ebenezer Family,

My eyes are clouded by tears and my hands are shaking as I type this out to you. We serve the One True & Living God that is Sovereign over all and has put His power on full display today!! Stella is out of surgery & God has once again done what only He can do....THE MIRACULOUS!!! ✝️💪🙌

More details to come but this is what we know so far....
The doctors have been telling Lexi & Lance to prepare for a minimum stay of 4 - 6 weeks after surgery ----- They have already told them that she should be home within a week! ✝️💪🙌

There is a small hole in her heart that they could not get to in order to close it but they were able to narrow it enough that it shouldn't be an issue UNTIL HER TEENAGE YEARS when the valve will need to be repaired!!! ✝️💪🙌
Stella's doctor told Lance & Lexi that once they get through the recovery of this surgery ------ She hoped not to see her again UNTIL HER TEENAGE YEARS!!! NO MORE SURGERY NEEDED UNTIL THEN & IF EVEN THEN!!! ✝️💪🙌

She shouldn't have to be on the ventilator for more than 24 hours post op...they initially said 48 - 72 hours. ✝️💪🙌

Stella's heart has been revived and renewed and her o2 saturation levels are expected to be 100% when she comes off the ventilator. She should be able to live a normal life. ✝️💪🙌

We should be able to see her in about an hour!!! ✝️💪🙌
This is a day (as every day is) to rejoice and proclaim the power of our God & the power of the prayers of God's people!! We will never be able to thank everyone enough for your prayers, generosity, support, & encouragement! ✝️💪🙌
To God Be The Glory Forever & Ever Amen!!! 🙌

Good morning, Ebenezer Family. As some of you already know, today is a day that Angi, I, and our whole family are in need of your prayers. Our granddaughter Stella Jo has been in the Pediatric CICU at Arthur Blank Children's Hospital since last Thursday. As you are aware, Stella was born with a serious heart defect, heterotaxy, and no spleen. She has no immune system and has been on a constant regimen of antibiotics since she was born. We have seen God already do the miraculous for Stella and we are calling on the Lord for Him to move once again. As I type this, we are all sitting together in the waiting room as Stella has been taken back for open heart surgery. Specifically a double ventricle repair. This surgery was expected to be done, but not until Stella was older. Her Tet spells (cyanotic episodes) of the past week have been escalating and have necessitated this surgery now. The Board of Pediatric Cardiologists here at CHOA have been meeting and studying Stella's case and feel this was the necessary next step.

Please pray with us and for us as we wait and pray for Stella, her surgical team, and her medical care team. We will remain here for the next several days to be with Lexi, Lance, Stetson, & Stella. We hope to be back home Monday. I have asked Bro. Eldridge Bowen to lead our Ebenezer Family in our time in the Word Sunday morning and he has graciously agreed. Angi and I will miss being with you all Sunday but I know you will be blessed by Bro. Eldridge as he brings a message from the Lord. We love & appreciate our Ebenezer Family more than you know. Thank you for loving us and for praying for Stella and our family today and the days to come.

The doctors could not give us a specific time that this surgery will last but have given us a window of completion somewhere between 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Good afternoon, Ebenezer Family! Just a quick update to let everyone know that Baptist Men's Day observance & our men's cake bake competition scheduled for this Sunday, 01/25/2026, has been postponed. We will observe Baptist Men's Day and have our soup & sandwich fellowship with the Clash of the Cakes the following Sunday, 02/01/2026. Thank you for your understanding.
