Immanuel exists to connect the Gospel to people, people to community, and community to mission Come and join the journey with us!

From it's beginning in October of 1996, the story of Immanuel is truly a testimony to our name -- Immanuel means "God with us." In fact, if God had not been with us, this local church would have ceased to exist. Not unlike the people who gather each week at Immanuel to worship, the church's story is one of brokenness, restoration, forgiveness and healing. If you're searching for the perfect church, Immanuel is not it, but by God's grace, we're on a journey together toward becoming what He intends for us to become--a reflection of His amazing love and mercy to those who are attempting to live without Him. We're one church in three locations - Corbin, Richmond and Williamsburg.

When Katie was younger, she struggled with severe panic attacks. Her dad gave her a laminated sheet of Bible verses to turn to whenever fear and anxiety began to take over. More than a decade later, she still has it.

Katie's story is a reminder that God's Word isn't just something we read. It's truth we can hold on to, renew our minds with, and build our lives upon.

Reading the Bible is more than taking in information.

God’s Word reads us. It exposes what needs to change, calls us to faith, and roots us so deeply in Christ that truth begins to shape who we are.

What does it look like to be rooted in Christ?

Grief is real, and Scripture never asks us to pretend otherwise.

Jesus meets us in it. He cares for us, stays with us, and intercedes for us. You are not alone in your grief, and you have not been forgotten.

If you are in Christ, guilt and shame do not get the final word.

Romans 8 says there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus. The struggle is real, but so is the grace of God. He does not run from us in our weakness. He comes to rescue us.
