Some words only make sense inside a family.

This Sunday we begin WORDS WE LIVE BY, a five-week series on the words of our faith that we don't often hear anywhere else. Some will be familiar. Some will challenge what we thought they meant. All of them shape who we are together.

Oct 25 · Diakonos: Servant (Acts 6:1–7)
Nov 1 · Hagios: Holy One (Acts 9:32–43)
Nov 8 · Ekklesia: Assembly (Hebrews 10:19–25)
Nov 15 · Koinonia: Common (Acts 2:42–47)
Nov 22 · Eucharistia: Thanksgiving (Luke 22:14–23)

Join us Sundays at 8:45 or 11, and bring someone with you.

When You don't give the answers
As I cry out to You
I will trust, I will trust

Participation trophies gather dust. But when kids see them, they get excited. It highlights a strange disconnect between effort and genuine achievement.

So when I fight, I'll fight on my knees
With my hands lifted high!

God doesn't abandon us; He reclaims and repurposes us before sending us back into the world. Jesus' Great Commission in Matthew 28 calls us to make disciples, baptize, and teach, with His promise of being with us always.

As he approached the city gate, a dead man was being carried out – the only son of a grieving widow. The Lord's compassion was stirred. He stepped forward, touched the stretcher, and with a powerful command, 'Young man, I say to you, get up!' The man sat up and began to speak. Astonished, the crowd praised God, recognizing a great prophet among them.

Beyond our own walls, there are people who need help and love, not as trophies, but as individuals God cherishes. The question is, what 'sheep' are you called to tend to and feed? Will you follow Jesus' example?
