412,973 meals sounds like a number.

But it never felt like one.

It looked like a mother opening her pantry and knowing there would be enough for dinner.

It looked like an older neighbor carrying groceries home without having to choose between food and a prescription.

It looked like a child reaching for a snack without knowing how carefully the adults around him had been stretching every dollar.

Last year, St. Anne Outreach provided the equivalent of 412,973 meals to our neighbors.

But what we really handed out was more than food.

It was breathing room. Dignity. One less worry. A reminder that when things get hard, there is a community willing to stand beside you.

Because none of us were meant to do this alone.

We are entrusted to one another.

Step into the story of the Georgia Martyrs. In 1595, six Spanish Franciscans came to what is now the Georgia coast to minister to the native people called the Guale. Two years later, all but one were murdered.

A traveling, museum-style exhibit on the Georgia Martyrs will be set up in Visitation Hall after all the weekend Masses on September 19th & 20th. A spoken presentation by diocesan representatives will accompany the exhibit after each Mass.

Please make plans to join us to learn more about the Georgia Martyrs and their upcoming beatification!

"God, in Your goodness, You have made a home for the worker. Make a place in our hearts for compassion to the men and women who labor tirelessly for basic necessities. Ensure a place for the men and women who are struggling to find work. Grant us Your wisdom to greet and care for those who are unable to work due to illness or circumstances that prevent their participation. Be with the children who are not able to run and play, but instead must put in a hard day’s work to help their family afford to eat, to live. Be with us all, Christ Jesus, as we go about the busyness of our work. Hold us accountable not only for our actions, but most importantly to each of our neighbors. May we continue to work together to bring about Your reign! We ask this in Your holy name, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen."
