Tonight, our community is heartbroken by the fire at Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Madison.

This historic landmark has been part of our story for generations, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted, including the congregation, neighbors, and first responders working at the scene.

Madison is a resilient river town with a deep commitment to preserving its history and caring for one another. We will continue to share updates and support community efforts as information becomes available.

Please pray for Madison Trinity United Methodist Church. For the congregation, the pastor, and the whole community of Madison. This photo is from last night.

Faith-family,
I have reached out to the senior pastor at Madison Trinity UMC and to our district superintendent to ask how we can help this church after the fire is finally out.

I anticipate they will need folks to remove debris and clean up but also feed those who are doing the clean up.

Built in 1873 it is a historic church but also significant to Madison.

I can’t imagine the emotions. What if this was our church, what would we need now? Please pray for all involved but also consider how you can help in the next few weeks and months.
