We are pleased to welcome Mathew Roth to Knights of Columbus Council 2294. On August 4th, Mathew completed the Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity at St. Joseph Church, becoming a Third Degree Knight.

We are grateful for his “yes” to the mission of the Order and look forward to the gifts he will share with our council and our parishes as a Brother Knight.

🇺🇸 Celebrating America 250: Faith, Freedom, and Fraternity 🇺🇸

Today, as our nation celebrates a historic milestone—250 years of the United States of America—Knights of Columbus Council 2294 joins our community in giving thanks for the blessings of liberty.

As Catholics and Patriots, this Semiquincentennial holds a special meaning for us. From the very beginning, Catholics have stood at the foundational crossroads of American freedom. We remember trailblazers like Charles Carroll, the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence, who risked his life and fortune alongside the other Founders to secure the liberties we enjoy today.

For two and a half centuries, American Catholics have lived out the gospel by building up our local communities, defending religious liberty, and serving those in need.

As Knights, Patriotism is one of our core principles. We believe that loving our country means serving its people. Whether we are supporting local families, honoring our veterans, or coming together in prayer, we are proud to continue a legacy of faith-filled citizenship right here in Columbia.

Today, let us pray for our nation’s future, honor those who have sacrificed to defend it, and commit ourselves to building a community rooted in charity and unity.

Knights of Columbus Council 2294: Family of the Quarter Spotlight!

Last night at St. Mary's Chapel, Knights of Columbus Council 2294 proudly recognized Hal and Christine Snyder of Holy Trinity Church as our Summer 2026 Family of the Quarter.

Married for over 35 years, Hal and Christine have built a life centered on faith, family, and an incredible dedication to service. Their deep impact on our Columbia community is a true inspiration to generations of families.

Hal has been a pillar of Holy Trinity since 1992. As a lifelong Catholic, he has led our council in numerous leadership roles, including Grand Knight and District Deputy for District 121.

Christine, who joined the Holy Trinity community as a convert in 2005, has dedicated countless hours to our youth. She served as an OLA Teacher’s Aide for 14 years, chaired the Wolfgang Candy fundraiser, served as OLA PTA Treasurer, and supported working parents through the Angel Care after-school program.

Whether you have been part of the parish for decades or are just starting your family's journey here, the Snyder's represent the very best of what it means to put faith into action. We are incredibly blessed to have them in our community.

The Knights of Columbus were proud to present our Student of the Month award after Mass on Friday.

🌟 Weiyah Geo, a kindergartener at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School, was recognized for her kindness, joyful spirit and the positive example she sets for her classmates.

Knights of Columbus Council 2294 gathered last night at the Our Lady of Grace Grotto at St. Peter Catholic Church to pray the Rosary with Chaplain Fr. Augustine Joseph. Parishioners from Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Saint Peter joined us as we placed written intentions before Our Lady—over 40 prayer warriors united in prayer, plus many intentions from those unable to attend. We ended the evening singing Immaculate Mary, entrusting all our needs to our Blessed Mother.

🎓 Congratulations to our 2026 Scholarship Recipients! 🎓

At the 8:00 AM Mass on May 17 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 2294 and the Holy Trinity Men’s Club presented this year’s Devotion Awards to five outstanding seniors from Lancaster Catholic High School.

Each student was recognized for their faith, service and commitment to living out the values of their Catholic faith. Awards were presented by Hal Snyder, President of the Men’s Club, and Paul Resch, Grand Knight, joined by Fr. Mark Wilke and Deacon Henry Reese.

Welcome to the Body of Christ.

The Knights of Columbus were blessed to celebrate the baptisms of Joseph Sauder, Nova Christine Fells, Maven James Fells and Coraline Elizabeth Dommel on May 3 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Representing the Knights were Chancellor John Leaman, who presented a rose and Rosary to each family as a sign of our prayers and support.

May God’s grace surround these children and their families as they begin this beautiful journey of faith.
