Join Dr. Cheryl White, Professor Emerita at Louisiana State University-Shreveport, as she presents “The Shroud: Fact, Fiction, and the Search for Truth”. Dr. White will guide us on an inquiry into the evidence underlying the arguments both for and against the famous Shroud held in Turin, Italy, including the historical record of its provenance and the myriad tests conducted on this remarkable object. Dr. White’s presentation will be followed by a Q&A and reception.

Update for the 5th Quarter Event

With the Seminary football game originally scheduled for Friday, October 25 now being moved to Thursday night, the plans for the 5th Quarter on the 25th are being adjusted as well.
As soon as Seminary Baptist Church finalizes and announces the updated plans, we will share that information with you so everyone knows what to expect.

This week, we are being reminded to pray for the wives and families of our pastors.
Their sacrifices are often quiet, unseen, and deeply felt. Ministry places unique demands on a home, and there are moments when a pastor’s family carries the weight of his calling in very real ways.
There are nights when Dad cannot be at the ballgame, the piano recital, or the family dinner because someone in the church needs him at the hospital. There are evenings when date night is postponed because a crisis arises. These moments can be lonely, and they can stretch a family’s heart.
Let’s lift these faithful wives and children before the Lord this week. Pray for strength, encouragement, and the steady presence of God’s peace in their homes. And as you pray, take a moment to let them know you are praying for them. A simple word of support can mean more than you realize.
