04 20 2026 Prayer is dependence on God
Throughout the Bible we read that as believers in Jesus Christ as our only means in salvation, we need to pray and stay in fellowship with our saviour. To pray is to talk to God and acknowledge him in our lives and that contains the element of dependence.
The scripture’s tell us that if we are in need we are to ask Christ for his care and guidance. Some people chant and cite repetitive words, but that certainly isn’t intelligent praying. While I believe God will meet our needs, he will not give us things that would be detrimental to us. in Luke 12 verses 27-30, we are promised that we will be cared for.
At different times through the years, I’ve been accused of being “a feel good preacher” and that’s because the gospel message which is good news says that one has only to believe that Jesus Christ has paid for their sins by His death, burial and resurrection, that is truly good news and it surely should make someone feel good; where once they were lost and hell bound, now they are going to heaven and have a heavenly father who loves them and keeps them in his family forever.
For many years I attended a legalistic church where people were seemingly always unhappy or at least feeling low, the reason being their salvation [they thought] depended on their keeping of the Ten Commandments and reformation. They didn’t realize that Christ had fulfilled the law on their behalf by His act on the cross and His resurrection. Self reformation in it’s self is a good thing, but it can’t pay for sin. In Romans 6:23 it’s written “for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. In other words the only payment for sin is death; if we pay for our own sin, we have to die and go to a place of everlasting torment, but if we trust Jesus Christ, His death will have paid the debt for us, for eternity!
I have often heard people say that it’s hard to be a christian and in some instances it may be, but it would be a lot harder not to be. I, myself, would hate to face the world today without having the Holy Spirit to guide and protect me and my family, who I thank God are believers as well.

04 13 2026 What the Passover and the Resurrection really mean

Recently we observed Easter Sunday and like Christmas, Easter has become very commercialized with all the displays of bunny rabbits and colored eggs and because of that I think is’s important to remember the real meaning of Easter, The Resurrection!
First of all, the name Easter is not a Christian word, it is a derivative of the word Ishtar, who was worshipped as a fertility goddess. then when Constantine proclaimed Christianity to be the official religion, they just made a slight change to satisfy the merchants who were selling various statuettes of Ishtar, they then began to make different statuettes of a Christian semblance.
However, for those of us who have trusted Jesus Christ alone for our salvation, Easter is a time to remember that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and after 3 days, He arose from the grave and by doing this, He won the victory over sin. When He was on the cross, the sins of the world were placed on Him, when He descended into paradise all the sins of the world were paid for.
Now when we trust Jesus as our Saviour, our past, present and future sins are not counted against us, as the hymn says “Jesus paid it all”.
Easter is also a time we remember the Passover, In the book of Exodus chapter 12, we see where God spoke of a plague he would bring on Egypt, where He would smite all the first born, Moses was instructed to speak to the congregation and tell them to slay a lamb (one that was without spot or blemish) and put the blood on their door posts and when God saw the blood, He would passover them, Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb.
When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward Him he said “Behold the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world”.

04 07 2026 The Resurrection
Last week we spoke of how the Passover is a portrayal of our Saviour Jesus Christ, and how that the Lamb that was slain was a picture of the death of Jesus Christ and how the blood being put on the door posts shows us the necessity of the blood of Christ as the only means of salvation.
In Hebrews 9:22 it’s written “and almost all things are by the law purged with the blood and without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin”, just as the blood of the lamb at Passover kept the Israelites from death, the blood of Jesus Christ is what takes away death from the believer, we need to understand that this body we have here on earth is not the body we will have in Heaven.
The Apostle Paul writes in 1st Corinthians 15:50, “Now this I say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither does corruption inherit incorruption”, our body as soon as we stop breathing will begin to deteriorate but our soul lives on eternally and when we are in God’s domain, we will have a new glorified body, one that is not subject to sickness or death.
when Jesus died on the cross the sins of mankind were placed on Him, He then went to the lower parts of the earth and all our sins were buried with Him, sin and death could not hold Jesus Christ, He was resurrected and by being resurrected He defeated sin and death, and when someone trusts Jesus Christ as being their sole means of salvation the grave will not hold them either.
In 1st Corinthians chapter 15, it tells of the rapture and how those in the graves will be resurrected; although they were buried with their old corruptible body, yet they will be raised with incorruption.

03 31 2026 The Passover
In the Book of Exodus chapter 11, we read where God had told Moses that every first born in the land of Egypt would die because of a plague He would bring on the land.
However, in the preceding chapter, it tells of God’s provision for them. They were instructed to select a lamb and examine it thoroughly to make sure it had no spots or blemishes on it. It had to be clean.
The lamb is a portrayal of Jesus Christ, He too was scrutinized by the Pharisees and legalists. However in Luke 23:4, we see that Pilate declared that he found no fault in Jesus, as we read on we see that the Passover Lamb had to be slain and the blood of it had to be applied to the door posts.
Here is a picture of how the blood of Jesus Christ saves the sinner and just as there was no other means of salvation concerning the plague, there is no other means of salvation for you and I.
In Hebrews 9:22, it’s written “without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin”. There are many religions that promote man’s reformation as a requirement for salvation but God has never portrayed salvation by man’s work; the work that was required when preparing for the passover was to show of how God protects His children and most of all, to tell of the coming Messiah Jesus Christ. The blood on the door post showed their faith in the work of God, they were not saved by their work, they were saved by faith in God’s work.
Through the Pauline Epistles it tells of how salvation is not of works but by the grace of God “For by grace are ye saved through faith as it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9”.

03 24 2026 We Are To Give The Gospel With Love And Humbleness

There are many so called preachers who claim to be christians who are always trying to sensationalize everything to promote their own ego, if they are saved they don’t seem to be discerning.
As Christians we need only to believe in Christ alone to be saved and we are to live our life by faith which means we are to depend on Christ to meet our needs. if we are sick or in need of anything if it’s his will, he will supply your needs. it’s written in Philippians 4:19 “but my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
God is not a God of confusion, the Christian life is one of simplicity we are not to promote ourselves, we are to speak of Christ’s love and grace.
We are told not to worry about anything, but by prayer and supplication (supplication refers to having a humble attitude); we are to bring our requests to the lord. God will not honor request’s that would harm His children. He is a loving father and supplies what is good for us.
In Hebrews 4:9 it’s written “ there therefore remaineth a rest to the people of God for he that is entered into this rest, he also has ceased from his own works as God did from His.
There are those who say that even if someone would go to hell they wouldn’t be there for a long extended period of time because God is such a God of grace he would free them. This is completely unscriptural.
In John 3:36, Christ said “he that believes on me has everlasting life, he that believeth not on the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him”.
This idea of a self proclaimed doctor is unfounded, however anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ to have paid for all their sin will not go to hell when they die, they will go to be with Jesus immediately.
Those who say they find deeper meaning in God’s word have really went off the deep end and have left scriptural truths behind. Believers are admonished never add or subtract anything from God’s word.

03 16 2026 Are Faith Healers for real?
I have researched the subject of “laying on of hands”. In Mark 16: 17-18, it tells of Jesus commissioning His disciples to go into the world and preach the gospel to every one. He then told of the signs that would follow them. They would cast out demons and speak with new tongues, and if they drink any deadly thing it would not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover.
Anyone with discernment can easily see that these gifts were given to the Apostles only. No human being has the power or authority to heal the sick by laying hands on them. If God wants someone healed He will heal them by his power and authority.
As for casting out demons when someone trusts Jesus Christ alone without adding their own works, they are then in-dwelt with the Holy Spirit and it’s impossible for them to be in-dwelt with the demons.
Quite a few years ago a self proclaimed faith healer acquired large amounts of money and with it he built a hospital in 1981 which closed in1989. Now why would someone who claimed he could heal people build a hospital and it was a non profit hospital. So he had deceitfully used the Lords name to line his own pockets. God can heal anyone of anything but it isn’t always His will that someone be healed.
In 2nd corinthians 12:7-9, the Apostle Paul tells of an infirmity that he has and that he prayed to be healed but the Lord told him “My grace is sufficient for thee for My strength is made perfect in weakness”. Paul did so much work for the Lord, even though he suffered with his ailment, Paul was so appreciative of Christ paying for his sin and giving him eternal life; he spread the good news, not because he had too, he did so because he wanted others to be saved. As Christians we need only to believe in Christ alone to be saved.

03 03 2026 Do Not be Deceived, Believe!

Give Glory to God not self
In the book of John chapter 6 verses 28 & 29, Jesus was asked what work one must do to work the work of God, Jesus answered and said unto them, “the work of God is that you believe in me”.
But of course, A certain self proclaimed evangelist never mentions salvation through faith in Christ alone. When we trust Christ as our Saviour, we enter into God’s family and we are told not to worry, He will meet our every need.
Personally I was saved over 50 years ago and since that time I have tried to expose every false teaching and there are several in the world and God prophesied that there would be. In 2nd timothy 3:1-2, it’s written: “this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come, for men shall be lovers of their own selves”. Many today are saying that one should love themselves above all but self edification is not what God wants from people.
In order to be saved we must acknowledge that we are sinners and in need of a Saviour. By our own efforts we can never be good enough to be accepted of God but when we believe in Christ alone to be saved, the perfection of Christ is given to us.
Self love has always been the heart of sin, satan personified self love when he proclaimed that he would ascend above the heights of the clouds and that he would be like the most high. He promoted that self edification to Eve when he said ye shall be as gods, Eve was deceived and because of her deception Adam was deceived as well.
Self edification has been the root of sin from the very beginning and it is directly opposed to God’s will. The greatest wrong is that it takes Christ out of the picture and He is the one true answer.

02 16 2026 Grace
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

When I was in my 20’s, I trusted Jesus Christ and him alone for my salvation when it was explained to me that by His death, burial and resurrection He had paid for my sin entirely. I believed and became a member of God’s family, forever sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, as it’s written in Ephesians 1:13, since that time I have read of many religions and cults to see what they believe and for the most part they believe they must give money or perform rituals or ceremonies and commit themselves to self reformation. Because they haven’t trusted Jesus Christ and His work on their behalf, they have no concept of grace. The Apostle Paul was commissioned of God to proclaim the message of salvation of grace through faith. In Romans 3:24, he writes, “the believer has been justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ”. In verse 28 of that chapter, Paul writes under the inspiration of God, “therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law”. The law [the 10 commandments] cannot save, they can only show us we need a Saviour. Everyone needs a Saviour, because everyone is a sinner. Here in Romans 3:23, it’s written “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”, because of the fall of Adam when he sinned in the garden of Eden, sin was passed on from generation to generation. In Titus 3:4-7, we are told that our righteousness is only through Jesus Christ, man cannot be made righteous by his own efforts, but by faith in Jesus Christ and His work, but God demanded a perfect substitute to pay for our sin, and Jesus is the only one qualified. If man could be saved by his own efforts, the death of Christ served no purpose.

02 09 2026 Lucifer caused the sin in our world

The Holy Bible tells us that Lucifer, because of his self pride and desire to be like God, had sinned before the garden of Eden. In Isaiah 14:12-14, it tells of his boastful ravings. Think about it, satan must have sinned before he tempted Eve and Adam or he wouldn’t have been able to beguile them. For someone to think that there is no sin, I would say they’re speaking foolishly. This world is full of killings and thievery and all sorts of lawlessness, the only way to describe it is sin.

One famous celebrity said that the only sin was to not realize that there is no sin. What a ridiculous thing to say because of her notoriety many people regard her as being intelligent but this only shows her stupidity. Because the Bible clearly states in 1st John 1:8 where it’s written “if we say we have no sin we are liars and the truth is not in us”.

Many today are denying the existence of God, but in the Book of Psalm 14:1, its written “the fool has said in his heart there is no God”, the heart is the core of his or her intellect, meaning the mind, God has provided visual proofs so that anyone can see there had to be a creator. Psalm 19:1-2, says “the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth his handiwork”. Throughout the scriptures God has spoken of his son Jesus Christ and that He would come to save people from their sin, He would die so that mankind would not have to.
Everyone will either be raptured or will experience physical death, but the death of this body is not the end for a believer, its a new beginning, when we die we will go immediately to be with our Saviour.

We are never to take our own lives, but those who have went before us are to be envied, they are now in a beautiful paradise, while those of us here on earth are still in this world of sin and sickness, where satan’s influence is everywhere luring people to believe some manmade philosophy which does not have any foundation at all, but it pushes God out of the picture, in reality He is the one true foundation.

02 02 2026 The Redeemer
One evangelical said that because of Israel ’s disobedience and the Jews unbelief that God has turned His back on them. They must have forgotten that God is a God of love and first of all we are all disobedient sinners, thats why Jesus Christ went to the cross where he died and was resurrected to pay for our sins and as I said when God makes promises they are not broken.

The promise of Eternal Life through faith in Jesus Christ would be in question if God could break the promises to Israel. If salvation depended on our obedience and faithfulness along with believing in Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we would all be lost. But it is the faithfulness of Jesus Christ that keeps us, and it was His obedience by going to the cross that brought salvation to everyone who believes that His work is totally sufficient.

The church is made up of a body of believers who have the assurance based on God’s word that they can never be lost, because they’re not depending on their works, however, the so called churches that teach that the promise to Israel are now for the church are those that teach salvation is by good works or deeds and rituals, ceremony or legalism, but our God of the Holy Bible deals in love and grace.

In Matthew 23:37-39, Jesus says “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem thou that killeth the prophets and stoneth them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children unto myself, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings and ye would not”. Verse 39 tells us that Jewish people will accept Jesus Christ as they're Saviour and each day more and more are realizing that the promised Messiah has came, was crucified, died and rose again;
Jesus Christ The Redeemer of all who believe.

01 27 2026 Does a Christian Sin

Many people think they can make themselves sinless by quitting old habits and doing good works but no amount of good works or reformation can save anyone.

In Hebrews 10:26, it’s written “if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins”. The meaning here is that if we sin after we have trusted Jesus for our salvation ( and we all do sin), those sins were paid for as well as our past sins, by the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ.

I am not condoning sin, if we read our Bible and prayerfully ask God for His guidance in our lives, we are a much happier person, but while we are here on earth we will never be sinlessly perfect.
When we trust in Christ, we receive a new nature and when God looks at us, He sees our new nature, the one that was made perfect by Christ’s Blood, however, we still have our old nature as well, when we leave this world we will leave this old sinful body and old nature behind and go to be with our Saviour with our new nature and we will have a new glorified body.

So many religions stress the importance of works to be saved and stay saved; but it is only the work of Christ that saves and we receive eternal life, the moment we believe He has done all that is necessary for our salvation.

The works we do spreading the gospel, being charitable, being a good neighbor, these are all good deeds, but they have nothing to do with getting saved or staying saved.

When someone believes they are good enough to be accepted of God, they’re trying to take the glory that belongs to Christ and place it on themselves.

01 19 2026 Are you a “lost sheep” ?

Many years ago, a man showed me in the Bible, that to become one of God’s sheep, I need only believe that Jesus Christ has paid for everyone of my sins, by His death and resurrection and that I was being kept by the Holy Spirit. I had entered His sheepfold by faith and I would forever be His child.
Before I trusted in Christ and His work alone for my salvation, I had always pictured God as being a very stern and even a somewhat mean Deity, my concept of God was one where God had put forth many rules and regulations and if I was to disobey, I would be banished from His family.
The death of Christ on the cross, to me was only to give me a second chance, everyone called Him the Saviour and we sang about our Saviour in songs, but I really had no idea of what being a Saviour was.
When I finally realized I was a hopeless, helpless, bankrupt sinner and there was not one thing humanly possible I could do to save myself. I finally understood why Jesus Christ is called a Saviour.
First of all, by His death He paid for ALL my sins, so that I would not have to pay for them by my death.
Romans 6:23 says “The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is Eternal life”. He has saved me from eternal death and as written in John 6:37 will never for any reason cast me out of his family.
If you are reading this today, simply trust in the salvation provided by Christ and His work, you will be eternally secure in God’s family, never to be lost because our Saviour saves and keeps forever.
