We are honored to have been recognized by American Friends of Jamaica at the 2026 Jamaica Charity Gala as one of three organizations celebrated for leadership and service impact in Jamaica.💙🇯🇲 Following the devastating effects of Hurricanes Beryl and Melissa in 2024 and 2025, communities across Jamaica faced unprecedented challenges. This recognition reflects the dedication of the entire Food For The Poor team, who worked around the clock alongside partners, donors, volunteers, and local leaders to deliver relief and support recovery efforts.

As President/CEO Ed Raine shared, this award belongs to the entire Food For The Poor family whose commitment helped bring hope and assistance to thousands of people during a critical time.

When Tropical Storm Cristina caused flooding and mudslides in Guatemala’s Santa Rosa department, our partner, the Order of Malta, quickly mobilized to help affected families.
