🎉 SURFSIDE IS 15 YEARS OLD TODAY! 🎉

Fifteen years ago, Surfside Community Fellowship began in a living room with just a few people and a desire to follow wherever God would lead.

Today, we are incredibly thankful for all God has done through the years—the hundreds of baptisms, lives changed, families reached, and countless steps of faith taken together.

We are especially thankful for this past year with our Clearlake family, and for the Brevard Baptist Association continuing to stand with us and partner with us in ministry.

We are also grateful for the unanimous court ruling and for justice continuing to be done. We believe it won’t be long until we are back home on Cox Road, celebrating together all that God has done—and all He is still going to do!

The picture is an imagined look at what the future could hold, but the story behind it is very real: God has been faithful for 15 years, and we believe our best days of ministry are still ahead.

HALLELUJAH!! SURFSIDE COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP IS ONE STEP CLOSER TO COMING BACK HOME TO COX ROAD!

Following the latest ruling from the court, Surfside Community Fellowship will be able to move forward with the process of returning to our Cox Road location.

The 5th district court previously ruled that King Street Baptist Church Cocoa (no longer recognized by the SBC) did not have standing to bring the case. (AS WE SAID FROM THE BEGINNING) King Street then asked the court to reconsider that decision and sought further review by more judges. The court has now denied those requests.

From the court’s website:
“Order on Motion for Rehearing and Rehearing En Banc; MOT DENIED AS TO REQ FOR REHEARING/CERTIFICATION; REQ REHEAR EN BANC TREATED AS MOT FOR PANEL HEARING; MOT DENIED”

Our next step is to complete the necessary filing and approval process with Brevard County so that we can return to the Cox Road campus. We are hopeful that process can be completed within the coming weeks.
We are incredibly thankful to God, thankful for our attorneys, and thankful for everyone who has prayed for and supported Surfside through this long journey…especially our Clearlake family!!! The truth will set you free...but boy it's taken a long time!!
We are getting closer to coming home!

An update on the lawsuit brought against our church and others- King Street Baptist Church, which is no longer affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, has asked the court to reconsider its unanimous decision that King Street did not have standing to bring this case against Northwest Baptist Church, the Brevard Baptist Association, and Surfside Community Fellowship.

Their filing does not change that unanimous ruling—it simply delays the process a little longer. We remain confident, prayerful, and looking forward to the day this is finally behind us.
