If we would live consciously of the fact that we're not gonna live forever, (other than spiritually) and that one day every single one of us will stand before God, whether you believe in Him or not, all of our possessions, all of our accolades (you know, the pat on our prideful backs, people telling us how sweet and kind we are and what a good person we are 🙄) ALL of that stuff is going to be Gone! ONLY what we've done for the Lord is going to matter.
Go read your Bible,
get busy, be about your Father's business and store up your treasure in heaven because that's the only place that's going to stand.

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "IF you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed."
John 8:31

Jesus made a clear distinction between those who believed and those who were disciples. There IS a difference.
It sounds like believing isn't enough. CONTINUING (ABIDE) in the Word and becoming disciples should be the goal.
TRUE disciples are marked by the fact that they continue in God's Word. Staying in God's Word has to be a lifestyle, not just something done occasionally. The just live by Faith (Hebrews 10:38) they don't just spend the weekends there.

Most professing Christians only want a little bit of Jesus. He's NOT their lifestyle, He's their "religion" They use biblical language sometimes to sound like they are in the faith, but have NO FRUIT. Repent this morning and truly submit to the Lord Jesus. He has a better life for you that you can't even imagine. Throw away that useless religion and get into relationship with Jesus!

There's a difference between knowing about someone and really knowing that person.
Do you just know about Jesus or do you really know Him intimately, personally? Does He know you??! That's the more important question!
Matthew 7:23 Jesus is telling the person who knew about Him and was even doing wonders in His Name, but didn't know Him personally, depart from Me, I never knew you!
It takes more than just knowing about our Savior, He wants relationship.
James 2:19 says, even the demons believe! This is clearly letting us know that there's just more to it. Relationship with Jesus is more than using religious words and going to church on Sunday. Jesus wants fellowship every day not just when you need something. He's your Lord and Savior NOT a genie.
Open your Bible and spend time with Him- Jesus IS the Word!
