August 30th - 9 A.M. MASS, with Potluck to follow.

St. Joseph will celebrate one Mass together, with our youth participating, next Sunday, August 30, 2026. Following this Fifth Sunday Mass, all are invited to a Potluck at the Parish Hall. The Sodality will provide a main and vegetable dish. Please bring a favorite dish, side dish or dessert to share. No dish? Just come! Let us enjoy this time of fellowship together, spending time with each other and welcoming new and visiting friends!

ETERNAL REST GRANT UNTO MARIANA AND XAVIER, O LORD and let your perpetual light shine upon them!

We commend into your hands, our sister, Mariana Fatima Fabian, and her unborn son, Xavier Damian Lopez who passed away Friday, August 14, 2026 from an automobile accident.

And to their family: partner and Xavier’s father, Carlos Lopez; daughter, Ivy Lopez; parents, Benjamin and Adelina Paneda Fabian; siblings, Noel, Alejandro, Esperanza, Baltazar and Alma; extended family members and friends, our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to you. May God’s love give you comfort and hope during this difficult time.

Mariana, you and Baby Xavier are gone too soon. Your St. Joseph Family prays for your repose, with Baby Xavier, in the arms of our Lord, Jesus and the motherly love of Mama Mary.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. The funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, August 19, 11:00 a.m. here at St. Joseph, with Father Uriel officiating. Interment will follow in the Alto Pass Cemetery.

FAITH FORMATION SCHOOL YEAR 2026-2027 is upon us!

English Enrollment and Orientation for First Communion and regular Sunday School classes will be next month on September 13 at 9:00 a.m. in the Hall and for Spanish, on September 15 after the Spanish Mass. One may join on either day to fill out the forms since translation will be provided. New paperwork registration will be needed for Sunday School only. Confirmation students need not sign up again.

All classes will start on September 20, 2026. Regular Sunday School are from 8:45-9:50 a.m. and Confirmation classes, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Both meet in the Hall.
