Why are we fasting every Wednesday this summer?

In Nehemiah 2, before the wall was rebuilt, Nehemiah prayed.

Before God’s people picked up a brick, they sought God.

As a church, we don’t want to simply work harder this summer, we want to depend more deeply on God.

That’s why every Wednesday from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, we’re setting aside food and distractions to seek Him together.

We’re praying for:

* Our church
* Our families
* Our community
* Salvations
* Discipleship
* Wisdom and direction

Fasting is a reminder that our greatest need isn’t more activity, it’s more of God.

As we continue our Rise & Build series, we’re asking God to do what only He can do.

Join us each Wednesday this summer from 8 AM–12 PM as we pray, fast, and seek the Lord together.

“The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build.” — Nehemiah 2:20

On Sunday we saw Nehemiah move from prayer to action.

For four months he prayed. Then when God opened a door, he stepped through it.

One of the challenges from Sunday’s message was simple: if we want God to build something among us, we must be a people of prayer.

So this summer, we’re setting aside time every Wednesday from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM for prayer and fasting.

We’re praying for:
• Our church
• Our families
• Our community
• People far from Jesus
• What God wants to do through The Table this fall

You can fast for the entire time or part of the time. The goal isn’t checking a box—it’s seeking God together.

“The God of Heaven will make us prosper.” — Nehemiah 2:20

Let’s pray. Let’s trust. Let’s build.

Tomorrow we continue our Rise & Build series through Nehemiah with Week 2: Pray & Move.

Sometimes faith looks like praying. Sometimes faith looks like taking the next step.

This Sunday is also a Family Service! Kids Kindergarten–3rd grade will join us in the service, and we’ll have activity booklets, a sermon scavenger hunt, a build-the-wall challenge, and more to help them engage with the message.

Kids Ministry will be available for ages 5 and under.

Join us at 10 AM as we discover what happens when faith prays boldly and steps forward courageously.

This summer we’ll discover what God can do through people who are burdened, prayerful, and willing to trust Him.
