The Summer Ministry Team has officially arrived, and this group is something special. They are joyful, creative, kind, and already bringing so much to camp!

More introductions and stories to come soon, but for now, just know: we are SO excited for you to meet them.

The countdown to summer is suddenly feeling VERY real.

If camp registration has been sitting in the “I should really do that…” category, this is your gentle nudge to check the family calendar, text the parent/caregiver group chat, coordinate the cousin schedules, and sprint heroically across the registration finish line.

Because Summer 2026 at Crossways Camps is shaping up to be something special.

And this staff team? Absolute chef’s kiss.

The energy, the care, the ridiculous games, the meaningful moments, the campfire magic, they’re already dreaming it all up, and you’re going to want your camper in the middle of it.

Most young people don’t just decide to work at camp on their own.

They apply because someone in their life said:
“You’d be really good at this.”

Not in a vague, “you should try it” kind of way, but with a specific reason:
“You’re so patient with kids.”
“You bring great energy to a group.”
“You know how to make people feel included.”

That kind of encouragement sticks.

And honestly? This is the single most powerful way you can support our mission this summer. Our team means EVERYTHING. The people who show up to lead, care, listen, and create belonging are what make camp… camp.

So if someone comes to mind right now, say something!

Tag them. Text them. Nudge them.

It might change their summer. It might shape who they become.
And it will absolutely shape what camp becomes for every young person who shows up.

The Crossways Board of Directors has called a special meeting to discern the next steps for our Waypost Camp property, and we want to hear from you.

- Voting congregations may send up to two delegates to vote.
- All other stakeholders are welcome to attend as non-voting guests.

Well… that was just plain fun!

We enjoyed gathering virtually for our Staff Alumni Virtual Trivia. There is something pretty special about getting a bunch of camp folks together in one (virtual) space. Suddenly the energy shifts, and it feels like no time has passed at all.

And they didn’t just bring the fun! They showed up with generosity, too.

We raised $875 toward summer staff pay increases. We’re working to move beyond the $65, $85, $210 weekly pay that our alumni shared as their starting salaries from back when. Because we know these young leaders are doing work that matters, and they are worth the investment.

A Message from the Crossways Board of Directors:

The Crossways Board has called a Special Meeting of Delegates to discuss and vote on the future of Waypost Camp.

Sunday, April 12th at 2:00 PM
St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Neenah | Also available via Zoom

Delegates will cast a ranked-choice vote on ownership transfer options for the Waypost Camp property.

Who is invited?
• Each voting congregation may send 2 delegates
• A voting congregation is one that 1) supports Crossways financially on an annual basis and/or 2) has had member(s) participate in Crossways programs within the last two years
• Not sure of your congregation's status? Please contact [email protected].
• Non-voting guests are also welcome to attend, please RSVP!

Note: Even delegates who attended the March Annual Meeting must RSVP again for April 12th.

Thank you to all our delegates and guests who joined us for the Annual Meeting on Saturday.
