The Bible consistently portrays God as Father, and this is certainly not wrong. But there is another side of God that can only be seen when acknowledging the motherhood of God. This Mother's Day we examine several Scriptures where God is likened to a mother and what this tells mothers (and the rest of us) today.

Medals of honor are usually reserved for extraordinary feats of bravery and sacrifice. But what if they were given to everyday heroes? Would mothers not be at the top of the list? Tonight we consider the responsibilities of mothers, the resources for mothers, and the rewards mothers receive.

"Will there be pets in heaven?" It's a question many have asked. It's a question I never took too seriously...until I was introduced to a book that made a serious study of the Scriptures on the topic. This morning we consider whether our pets on earth will spend eternity with us in heaven.

In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus instructs us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." What does that mean? Why should we pray that way? We examine this subject in our evening message, wrapping up our series.

Multitasking is hard; when the tasks seem to be opposite, it seems impossible. Our question for God this morning asks, "You tell us to love, trust, and fear you. How is that compatible?" We examine these concepts from a biblical and practical perspective.

When Jesus was on earth, He routinely healed the sick. All the sick. So why don't we see more miracles like those today? That tough question is the subject of our evening message.

This morning we tackle two questions at once: Why did God allow polygamy in the Old Testament, and why did He allow slavery in both Old and New Testaments. Some have concluded that since God did not condemn either practice He must condone them. We come to a different conclusion in this message.

This evening we consider whether God really knows how much people will suffer in hell. Our initial reaction might not be the correct answer, as we see in this sermon.

Our series on questions have turned to questions we ask God, as submitted by members of our congregation. The first question deals with how God dealt with Zechariah and Mary in Luke 1 for seemingly the same action. We address that specific situation and also deal with the larger question of God's fairness.

In our evening message we address the question, "Are we meant to learn lessons throughout our lives, after which we will have learned all there is to learn?" We consider the biblical response to both aspects of that question.

Years ago the song, "Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places" was a hit, reflecting the experience of many. Today people are looking or life in all the wrong places. On the first Easter morning, the angel said to the women, "Why are you looking for the living among the dead?" This morning we consider some of the dead end streets people travel looking for life in all the wrong places.

The story of the first Easter is familiar to most, but one difficult moment occurred early Sunday morning when Mary Magdalene went to the tomb. She encountered Jesus, and understandably clung to Him. But Jesus said, "Don't cling to Me." Why did He say that? What does it mean to us now?

Many familiar with the story of Good Friday recognize the name of Barabbas, the prisoner whom the crowd chose to be set free instead of Christ. But who was Barabbas? Why was he condemned to die? More importantly, who is Barabbas today?

This evening was a Fifth Sunday service, with no files available.
