To help cultivate a collaborative learning community centered on mission, Three Rivers Collaborative is driven by developing relationships between pastors, leaders and churches through intentional conversations, collaborative learning communities, formational retreats, and biannual conference gatherings.

Through these learning communities, in all their different forms, we work together in reframing mission, relearning the ways of Jesus and releasing the church’s potential.

We are getting so excited for the “Making Everything Around Me Beautiful” retreat later this month! Though signups for our upcoming retreat are closed, make sure to check out the Living Undivided Cohort that begins this fall 🙌

We invite YOU to join our Fall 2026 Living Undivided Cohort 🙌 Together, we will engage in courageous conversations that foster understanding, deepen relationships, and inspire measurable impact in our churches, organizations, and city.

We will be meeting downtown, at First Baptist Church of Knoxville. There will be easy-access parking, and take place over the lunch hour from 11:00-1:00, with lunch provided. The registration link is in our bio.

Three Rivers Collaborative exists because of a great love for Jesus and his church, and because of the belief that the church is absolutely central to God’s mission and intent for his creation.

As the world is ever changing, there is a great need for an honest assessment of what it means to play a crucial role in this mission to extend the Kingdom of God.

Many, if not most, churches today find themselves culturally and pandemically in need of a prophetic reimagining required to discern God’s call for flourishing as communities of faith. Because of our deep love for the church AND for those who want nothing to do with the church, we are convinced of this need to clarify mission and calling, to live well within this cultural moment, and to follow in the radical ways of Jesus. 🙌

At Three Rivers Collaborative, we get to collaborate with many churches such as St. John’s Lutheran based in Knoxville!

Here are a few words from St. John’s Lutheran’s very own, Reverend Amy Figg-Ley:

“Being a long-time pastor in a congregation, sometimes you become blind to new ways of doing things because you’re always doing the things that have worked and then maybe they don’t work quite so well.

Three Rivers has helped us peak our curiosity at a really significant time because we were in the middle coming out of COVID. The old ways were not necessarily going to serve us well andwe needed to develop that sense of curiosity” 🙌

YOU are invited to join us for Three Rivers’ upcoming retreat, “Making Everything Around Me Beautiful” 🙌🙌🙌

P.S. The deadline for this sign-up for this FREE retreat is September 1st, sign up soon!

This retreat begins on September 20th to 22nd and explores spirituality and creativity, where we’ll gather for rest, reflection, conversation, and inspiration as we consider God’s invitation to participate in making all things beautiful. Whether you’re a pastor, ministry leader, artist, or simply longing for space to reconnect with God and your calling, this retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, be renewed, and imagine how God is making everything around us—and within us—beautiful.

Throughout our time together, we’ll explore what it means to creatively tend to:

👉 Your life — your personal rhythms, family relationships, and daily habits

👉 Your calling/vocation — the work and purpose God has entrusted to you

👉 Your world — engaging injustice and systemic brokenness with hope and faithfulness

👉 Your neighborhood — building relational, kind, and meaningful connections in the places you live and serve

We are honored to welcome two facilitators to this retreat: Dr. Bill Wolf, Professor of Theology & Worship at Johnson University, and Rev. Lauren Wright Pittman, Founding Creative Partner of A Sanctified Art.

We have attached the registration link to our bio, but please message us if you have any questions about this retreat! 🙌🙌

The heart of Three Rivers Collaborative is to help churches reframe their God-given mission, relearn the ways of Jesus and community and release their God-given potential with an ever-changing cultural context.

In practically doing that, we are highlighting how some of our partner churches serve their community this weekend as part of the One Heart Project in East Knoxville.

The Edgewood Chapel AME Zion Church, Arlington Church of Christ - Knoxville, TN,Logan Temple AME Zion Church, Wallace Chapel Ame Zion Church, Lake Forest Presbyterian Church, Crossings and Thorn Grove Christian Church alongside a few other local churches got together, (as part of the One Heart Project), to serve our community by hosting worship gatherings Wednesday through Sunday, and by organizing and handing out food, clothing, and backpacks to families in Knoxville this past Saturday.

This is loving our neighbors!

At Three Rivers Collaborative, we believe that racial healing begins with relationships, honest conversations, and a shared commitment to the work of reconciliation.

We invite YOU to join our Fall 2026 Living Undivided Cohort—a six-week experience designed to help individuals and organizations engage in meaningful dialogue and practical learning toward racial healing in Knoxville.
Living Undivided is far more than a discussion group or diversity training. Grounded in Scripture, theology, sociology, and personal experience, this cohort provides a space for experiential learning in community. Together, we will engage in courageous conversations that foster understanding, deepen relationships, and inspire measurable impact in our churches, organizations, and city.
This upcoming cohort will look a little different because it is being hosted at a new location.

We will be meeting downtown, at First Baptist Church of Knoxville. There will be easy-access parking, and take place over the lunch hour from 11:00-1:00, with lunch provided.

We would love to have you there! 🙌
