SAVE THE DATE 🙌

On Thursday, December 3rd, at Johnson University 👉 Three Rivers will be hosting our yearly All Gathering!

This is one of our favorite times of the year! This is a chance to bring together people from all the churches and organizations who have been part of the Three Rivers Collaborative community in some way over the past six years.

This year, Chuck Mingo, teaching pastor at Crossroads Church in Cincinnati, will be with us. Chuck is passionate about helping people discover what it means to follow Jesus into the work of reconciliation and to embody his love in the midst of a divided world. He is a gifted communicator and leader, as well as a husband and father of three.

Please make plans to join us on December 3! There is something powerful about seeing all of us together in the same room each year, celebrating what God has been doing among us and imagining what might be ahead. 🙌

Our Seven Marks of Movement give churches a shared framework for real, lasting transformation in culture, mindset, and practice.

Did you know that every Three Rivers Collaborative Event is fully free to attend?

There is no cost to participate in any part of Three Rivers Collaborative. This is thanks to the generosity of the Lily Endowment and multiple individual donors who fund the work of Three Rivers.

We believe there should be no barrier to churches who want to sit at the table together with each other, and we do our best to make sure that Three Rivers churches have full access to everything we do at no cost on their part.

Two weeks ago, about 30 pastors and leaders gathered for a Three Rivers retreat on creativity, centered around a quote from Elsie de Wolfe in 1913:

“I’m going to make everything around me beautiful—that will be my life.”

Over just a couple of days, we immersed ourselves in thoughts, conversations, and experiences around three invitations: being transformed by the beauty of the love of God; learning to tell a more beautiful story; and embracing our commissioning to go and make beautiful things.

We are truly grateful.

As the world is ever changing, there is a great need for an honest assessment of what it means to play a crucial role in this mission to extend the Kingdom of God.

Many, if not most, churches today find themselves culturally and pandemically in need of a prophetic reimagining required to discern God’s call for flourishing as communities of faith. Because of our deep love for the church AND for those who want nothing to do with the church, we are convinced of this need to clarify mission and calling, to live well within this cultural moment, and to follow in the radical ways of Jesus. 🙌

This quote was a major theme of the “Making Everything Around Me Beautiful” retreat from last week. The quote also encompasses much of what we get to do at Three Rivers Collaborative.

The Three River’s “Making Everything Around Me Beautiful Retreat” is off to a wonderful start 🙌

Today, we are spending time in community together as creatives, participating in sessions lead by Lauren Wright Pittman & Bill Wolf, and enjoying the stay in the mountains.
