[The One Talent We Cannot Bury]
In the parable of the talents, the difference between the servants wasn’t the amount they received—it was how well they understood the heart of their master.
The servant with five talents knew his master.
The servant with two talents learned the master’s heart by watching the first.
But the servant with one talent didn’t know the master at all. He feared him, misunderstood him, and buried what he had been given.

What’s striking is that one talent was not small.
It was about 34 kg (75 lb) of gold—worth nearly $2.5 million today.
The problem wasn’t the amount.
The problem was the servant’s heart.

Spiritually, Jesus is teaching that we are the ones who received the one talent.
And that “talent” is not money—it is the greatest treasure God has ever placed in our hands:

the blood of Jesus

the righteousness of God

the salvation that is complete and eternal

Yet many believers today live like the one‑talent servant.
Not because they are rebellious, but because they don’t know God’s heart.
They bury the treasure of Christ under fear, guilt, hesitation, or spiritual uncertainty.

But the gospel is not a call to try harder.
It is a call to trust the heart of the Master—the God who freely gave us His righteousness, who washed us with the blood of His Son, and who saved us perfectly.

When we know His heart, we stop burying the treasure inside us.
We begin to live with confidence, speak with joy, and walk with purpose.
And the treasure God placed in us—the blood, the righteousness, the salvation of Jesus—begins to bear fruit far beyond what we imagined.

This week, don’t bury what God has placed in you.
Open your heart to the gospel again.
Share grace with someone.
Pray with expectation.
Take one step of faith—however small—and let God show you the power of the “one talent” He has already given you.

“Do you believe Jesus died for you?”

Almost everyone says yes.
But when asked, “Do you still have sin?” — most still answer yes.
That’s where the gospel confronts us.

Jesus said, “It is finished.”
Not partially finished, not almost done — completely finished.
Our past, present, and future sins were nailed to the cross.
If we still claim to have sin, we deny the power of the cross.

Romans 10:10 says,

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Faith is not silent.
It confesses righteousness, not guilt.
John 9:31 reminds us: God does not hear sinners.
He hears the prayers of those made righteous through Christ.

There are only two destinations — Heaven or Hell.
No middle ground.
No purgatory.
If we remain sinners, we remain separated.
But if we believe that Christ’s blood has washed us completely,
then we stand righteous before God.

God never asked us to be “good.”
He asked us to be holy.
Holiness is not achieved by effort — it is received by faith.
When Jesus said, “It is finished,” He meant your sin, your guilt, your condemnation — all finished.

So yes, these three questions may make you uncomfortable.
But they also lead you to freedom.
Because the gospel doesn’t expose you to shame —
it exposes you to grace.

Whenever I meet people, I ask three questions.
First: Do you believe Jesus died for you?
Everyone says yes.

Second: Do you believe your past, present, and future sins were taken away?
People say yes again.

Third: Then… do you still have sins?
Most people say yes.

But listen—
In God’s world, there are only two places: heaven and hell.
No middle ground. No ‘in‑between.’

If Jesus said your sins are gone,
and you still believe you have them,
are you righteous… or a sinner?

God isn’t asking us to be ‘good.’
He’s asking us to be holy.
To be righteous.

Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’
If He finished it,
why are you still holding your sins?

If I have sins, I’m a sinner.
If I’m a sinner and I die…
where would I go?

This is why these three questions matter.

There is a quiet danger that only long‑time Christians face.
It is not persecution.
It is not false doctrine.
It is spiritual stillness—the place where faith stops moving.

In John 6, the disciples had walked with Jesus for years.
They had seen miracles, heard teachings, and lived close to the Messiah.
Yet when the crowd of 5,000 appeared,
their first response was not faith—it was calculation.

Philip calculated the cost.
Andrew hesitated with the small lunch.
Both had history with Jesus,
but neither stepped forward with confidence.

This is the message every long‑time Christian needs to hear:
Your past experiences with God do not replace today’s faith.

God does not ask how long you’ve been in church.
He does not measure how many testimonies you once had.
He looks for your faith now.
Your step now.
Your obedience now.

Andrew’s offering was small—five loaves and two fish.
But God never needed the bread.
He needed the heart that was willing to bring it.

Many believers have been in church for years,
yet their faith has stopped moving.
They know the Bible,
they know the doctrines,
they know the songs—
but they no longer take steps.

A luxury car that never moves is more useless
than an old car that simply runs.
In the same way,
a believer with great knowledge but no movement
is less fruitful than a new believer who simply obeys.

God is not asking you to be impressive.
He is asking you to be responsive.
He is not asking for your strength.
He is asking for your step.

Your past does not empower your future.
Your faith today does.

If you bring your small faith,
your small obedience,
your small step—
God will do the rest.

This is the message every long‑time Christian needs to hear:
Move again. Believe again. Step again.
God is ready to work the moment you do.

[The Tabernacle and the Promise of Eternal Redemption]
The Tabernacle exhibition has a way of stopping people in their tracks.
Not because of its size or its craftsmanship, but because it reveals something our hearts often forget: God Himself made the way for us to come near.

As visitors walked through the courtyard, past the altar, the laver, and into the Holy Place, many said it felt as if the Bible shifted from black‑and‑white to full color.
Every piece pointed beyond itself—toward Jesus Christ, the true fulfillment of the Tabernacle, the One who opened the way into the presence of God.

The curators didn’t simply explain ancient objects.
They unfolded the gospel: that forgiveness is not earned, that redemption is not maintained by human effort, and that Christ entered the heavenly sanctuary once for all.
For many, it was the first time they understood that the Tabernacle was never about ritual—it was about grace.

In a world filled with pressure, guilt, and spiritual uncertainty, the Tabernacle reminds us that God’s presence is not something we climb up to.
It is something He brought down to us through Christ.
And when we stand in that grace, everything becomes clear, simple, and deeply beautiful.

The law, when understood only through the flesh,
brings guilt and condemnation.

But the law was meant to lead us to Jesus
— the One who fulfilled it.

Through Him, we are free from the bo***ge of guilt and judgment.
Live not under the law, but under grace.

Jesus completed what the law began.

[Faith That Moves Beyond Calculation]

In John 6, Jesus gives Philip and Andrew the same impossible problem:
a huge crowd, almost no food, and no human solution.

Philip had been walking with Jesus, but his thinking was still shaped by calculation.
He looked at the situation, did the math, and said,
“There’s no way.”

He believed in Jesus—
but only within the limits of what he could understand.
And when our faith stays inside our own logic,
we leave no space for Jesus to work.

Andrew responded differently.
He didn’t have enough.
He didn’t have a plan.
But he brought what he found—a small lunch—and placed it in Jesus’ hands.

It wasn’t logical.
It wasn’t impressive.
But it was faith that moved, even without all the answers.
And Jesus worked through that small, imperfect step.

This is where many believers live today:

We follow Jesus, but still think like Philip—limited by what we can see or control.

Or we step like Andrew—trusting that Jesus can work beyond what makes sense.

Jesus never asked for perfect plans.
He asked for faith that gives Him room to work.

Real faith isn’t just believing in Jesus.
It’s acting in a way that expects Him to move.

This week, may we lay down our calculations,
take one small step of trust,
and watch Jesus do what only He can do.
