Calvary Chapel Clayton Our desire is to know Christ and be conformed into His image through the Holy Spirit by simply teaching the word of God verse by verse. What do you teach?

Welcome to Calvary Chapel of Clayton! Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational church movement focused on the inerrancy of the Bible and the expository teaching from Genesis to Revelation. We are an affiliate church with Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor do we oppose denominations, only their over-emphasis of doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ. Calvary Chapels are known for their dedication to the expositional (verse-by-verse) teaching of God’s Word. Simply put, we teach the bible from Genesis to Revelation! What about worship? Our worship setting and style is contemporary, but not to exclude the more traditional style of worship which we believe to be rich in doctrine and sound theology. Worship at each Calvary Chapel is unique, and there is no “set” style of worship. Typically our worship time will be about thirty minutes prior to the teaching of the Word. The Holy Spirit

At Calvary Chapel, we believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and we encourage their exercise, but always decently and in order, with the primary emphasis on the Word of God, which we look to as our primary rule of faith. Unity of God's People

Some Calvary’s are filled with people in suits and ties, and some are filled with people in jeans and t-shirts, and many may have a combination of all ages, races, and dress. We are people who have come together regardless of background or social status with one common focus: Love for Jesus Christ and the desire to know Him more intimately. We focus on personal relationships with Jesus Christ through worship, prayer and teaching of the word of God.

After knowing Christ, there’s no greater joy in life than having a family.

Students, getting married and raising a family someday is a beautiful thing to look forward to.

Don’t let a world that treats family like a burden make you miss the blessing it can be.

You don’t need to rush. Keep growing in Christ, and when the time comes, choose someone who loves Him too. A family centered on Jesus is worth looking forward to.

What should a Christian do when another believer has genuinely wronged them?

Is taking them to court ever the right answer or does Scripture give us a better way to handle conflict?

Before you file the lawsuit, end the relationship, or tell everyone your side of the story, consider what God says about justice, forgiveness, reconciliation, and the witness of the church.

Are Christians supposed to separate from the world or live differently within it?

Jesus didn’t call us to escape the world. He called us to be set apart for Him while living faithfully in it.

What does that actually look like? Pastor Kevin Edwards unpacks this challenging truth and shows how believers can stand firm without withdrawing from the people God has called us to reach.

Watch the full sermon, you may never think about being “set apart” the same way again.

This morning, we had the joy of installing and charging 12 men to serve as deacons at Calvary Chapel Clayton!

We thank God for raising up men willing to serve His church, care for His people, and follow Jesus’ example of humble service. As they take on this responsibility, our prayer is that they would lead lives marked by faithfulness, integrity, wisdom, and love.

Church family, join us in praying for these men and their families. May the Lord strengthen them, guide them by His Word, and use their service to build up His church—all for His glory!

You’ve prayed about it. So why hasn’t God answered the way you hoped?

Do you need more faith? Different words? Or is there something we misunderstand about what makes prayer powerful?

First John 5 offers an answer that could change the way you pray—and how you respond when the answer isn’t what you expected.

As Pastor Appreciation Day approaches tomorrow, we thank God for our pastors—Kevin Edwards, Jeffrey Anderson, David Graham, and Gus Solis!

Thank you for faithfully teaching God’s Word, praying for our church family, walking with us through life’s joys and struggles, and continually pointing us to Jesus. We are grateful for your love, your service, and the many ways you care for Calvary Chapel Clayton.

Church family, let’s encourage our pastors! Share a word of appreciation in the comments, send them a personal note, and take time this week to pray for them and their families.

Loving someone well sometimes means walking with them through a hard conversation.

As Pastor Kevin reminded us in Sunday’s teaching, biblical compassion holds truth and grace together, helping people move toward repentance and restoration.

Are we willing to offer—and receive—the loving correction that helps us grow closer to Jesus?
