Could you give an extended weekend or perhaps a week to help families in Indiana recover?

Across Indiana, families are facing the exhausting aftermath of severe storms and flooding—trees down, homes damaged, belongings ruined, and rooms filled with mud and debris. For many, the storm is over, but the long work of putting life back together is just beginning. That’s where we can help.

Jacob’s Well is actively recruiting volunteers to serve with disaster recovery teams in Northwest and Central Indiana, with needs expected to continue through mid-September. No previous disaster recovery experience is required. If you can clear an extended weekend or several days, cover your travel expenses, and come ready to work and serve, experienced teams will provide training and help you find the right role.

You might help clear mud and damaged belongings from a home, sanitize after flooding, prepare meals, do laundry, assess damage, offer prayer and encouragement, or assist with chainsaw and tree removal if you’re able and trained.

You don’t need to know how to do everything. You just need to be willing to go. If you’re reading this and thinking, “Actually…I could do that,” we’d love to hear from you.
