THE 14TH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY

INTROIT. Protector noster. Ps. 84.
BEHOLD, O God, our defender, and look upon the face of thine Anointed: for one day in thy courts is better than a thousand. Ps. ibid. O how amiable are thy dwellings, thou Lord of hosts; my soul hath a desire, and longing to enter into the courts of the Lord. V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. BEHOLD, O God, our defender, and look upon the face of thine Anointed: for one day in thy courts is better than a thousand.

COLLECT.
ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, give unto us the increase of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain that which thou dost promise, make us to love that which thou dost command; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Who liveth and reigneth with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.

EPISTLE. Galatians 5: 16-24
BRETHREN: I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

GRADUAL. Ps. 118. It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put any confidence in man. V. It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put any confidence in princes.
Alleluia, alleluia. V. Ps. 95 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us heartily rejoice in the strength of our salvation. Alleluia.

GOSPEL. St. Luke 17:11-19
AT that time: And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

OFFERTORY Ps. 34 The Angel of the Lord tarrieth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them: O taste, and see, how gracious is the Lord.

COMMUNION St. Matthew 6. Seek ye first the kingdom of God... and all things shall be added unto you, saith the Lord.

POSTCOMMUNION.
O LORD, who here hast fed us with thy heavenly sacraments; grant, we pray thee, that we may thereby grow and increase toward the attainment of everlasting salvation. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, liveth and reigneth, ever one God, world without end. Amen.

THE 13TH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY

INTROIT. Respice, Domine. Ps. 74.
LOOK, O Lord, upon the covenant, and forget not the congregation of the poor for ever: arise, O God, maintain thine own cause, and be not unmindful of the voices of them that seek thee. Ps. ibid. O God, wherefore art thou absent from us so long: why is thy wrath so hot against the sheep in thy pasture? Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. LOOK, O Lord, upon the covenant, and forget not the congregation of the poor for ever: arise, O God, maintain thine own cause, and be not unmindful of the voices of them that seek thee.

COLLECT.
ALMIGHTY and merciful God, of whose only gift it cometh that thy faithful people do unto thee true and laudable service: grant, we beseech thee, that we may so faithfully serve thee in this life, that we fail not finally to attain thy heavenly promises. Through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord, Who with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, liveth and reigneth God, world without end. Amen

EPISTLE. Galatians 3:16-22
BRETHREN: to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

GRADUAL. Ps. 74. Look upon the covenant, O Lord, and forget not the congregation of the poor for ever. V. Arise, O God, maintain thine own cause; remember how the foolish man blasphemeth thee daily.
Alleluia, alleluia. V. Ps. 90 Lord, thou hast been our refuge: from one generation to another. Alleluia.

GOSPEL. St. Luke 10:23-37
AT that time, Jesus said to His disciples: Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and w**e, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

OFFERTORY. Ps. 31. My hope hath been in thee, O Lord; I have said: thou art my God, my time is in thy hand.

SECRET.
WE beseech thee, O Lord, mercifully to look upon the oblation, which on thine holy altar we do present unto thee: that the same may be profitable unto us for the obtaining of thy pardon, and effectually avail for the increasing of the glory of thy Name. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, liveth and reigneth God, world without end. Amen

COMMUNION. Wisdom 16:20 Thou didst send them bread from heaven, O Lord: able to content every man's delight, and agreeing to every taste.

POSTCOMMUNION.
QUICKEN us, O Lord, we pray thee, who have duly received these holy mysteries: that we may be cleansed from all our sins, and defended against all temptations. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, liveth and reigneth God, world without end. Amen

THE 12TH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY

INTROIT. Deus in adjutorium. Ps. 79.
HASTE thee, O God, to deliver me: make hast to help me, O Lord: let them be ashamed and confounded, that seek after my soul. Let them be turned backward, and put to confusion: that wish me evil. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. HASTE thee, O God, to deliver me: make hast to help me, O Lord: let them be ashamed and confounded, that seek after my soul.

COLLECT.
ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who art always more ready to hear than we are to pray, and art wont to give more than either we desire or deserve: pour down upon us the abundance of thy mercy; forgiving us those things whereof our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things which we are not worthy to ask, but through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord. AMEN.

EPISTLE. 2 Corinthians 3:4-9
BRETHREN: such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

GRADUAL. I will alway give thanks unto the Lord: his praise shall ever be in my mouth. V. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof and be glad.
Alleluia, alleluia. O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee. Alleluia.

GOSPEL. St. Mark 7:31-37
AT that time: Jesus, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis. And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

OFFERTORY. Moses besought the Lord his God, and said: Lord, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people? Turn from thy fierce wrath: remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest to give a land flowing with milk and honey. And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

COMMUNION. The earth, O Lord, is filled with the fruit of thy works: that thou mayest bring food out of the earth, and w**e that maketh glad the heart of man: and oil to make him a cheerful countenance, and bread to strengthen man's heart.

POSTCOMMUNION.
WE beseech thee, O Lord, that we which have received this holy sacrament: may in such wise feel the effectual succour of the same; that we being preserved both in body and soul may glory in the fulness of thy heavenly healing. Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, liveth and reigneth God, world without end. Amen.

THE 11TH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY

INTROIT. Deus in loco sancto suo. Ps. 68
GOD in his holy habitation, he is the God that maketh men to be of one mind in an house: he will give strength and power unto his people. Ps. ibid. Let God arise, and let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. GOD in his holy habitation, he is the God that maketh men to be of one mind in an house: he will give strength and power unto his people.

COLLECT.
O GOD, who declarest thy almighty power chiefly in shewing mercy and pity; Mercifully grant unto us such a measure of thy grace, that we, running the way of thy commandments, may obtain thy gracious promises, and be made partakers of thy heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

EPISTLE. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
BRETHREN, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

GRADUAL. Ps. 28. My heart hath trusted in God and I am helped: therefore my heart danceth for joy: and in my song will I praise him. V. Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my Strength: think no scorn of me: my God, go not far from me.
Alleluia, alleluia. Ps. 81. Sing we merrily unto God our strength, make a cheerful noise unto the God of Jacob: take the psalm, bring hither the tabret. Alleluia.

GOSPEL. St. Luke 18: 9-14
AT that time: JESUS spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

OFFERTORY. Ps. 30. I will magnify thee, O Lord, for thou hast set me up, and not made my foes to triumph over me: O Lord, my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

SECRET.
O GOD, who hast ordained a sacrifice, that we, offering the same to thy honour and glory, might receive thereby the healing of all our infirmities: mercifully grant that this our present offering may be
made acceptable in thy sight. through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

COMMUNION. Proverbs. 3. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new w**e.

POSTCOMMUNION.
WE humbly beseech thee, O Lord our God, that like as thou ceasest not to renew us with thy heavenly sacraments, so thou wouldest not fail to bestow upon us in all things the succour of thy mercy. through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

THE TENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY

INTROIT.
WHEN I called upon the Lord, he heard my voice, even from the battle that was against me: yea, even God that endureth for ever shall hear me, and bring them down: O cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall nourish thee. Ps. Hear my prayer, O Lord, and hide not thyself from my petition: take heed unto me, and hear me. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. WHEN I called upon the Lord, he heard my voice, even from the battle that was against me: yea, even God that endureth for ever shall hear me, and bring them down: O cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall nourish thee.

COLLECT.
LET thy merciful ears, O Lord, be open to the prayers of thy humble servants: and that they may obtain their petitions, make them to ask such things as shall please thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

EPISTLE. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
BRETHREN: concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

GRADUAL. Keep me, O Lord, as the apple of an eye: hide me under the shadow of thy wings. V. Let my sentence come forth from thy presence: and let thine eyes look upon the thing that is equal.
Alleluia, alleluia. Thou, O God, art praised in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed in Jerusalem. Alleluia.

GOSPEL. St. Luke 19:41-47
AT that time: When Jesus was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. And he taught daily in the temple.

OFFERTORY. Unto thee, O Lord, will I lift up my soul: my God, I have put my trust in thee, O let me not be confounded: neither let mine enemies triumph over me: for all they that hop in thee shall not be ashamed.

COMMUNION. Thou shalt be pleased with the sacrifice of righteousness, with the burnt offerings and oblations upon thine altar, O Lord.

POSTCOMMUNION.
GRANT, O Lord, we pray thee: that this holy Communion, which we have received, may cleanse us from all our sins, and bestow upon us unity and concord. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
