Recycling right starts with knowing what belongs in the bin—and what doesn’t. ♻️

This helpful resource comes from our friends at the Butte Environmental Council. In Butte County, clean paper, metal, glass, and approved plastics can be recycled. Thin-film plastics, soiled items, multi-layer packaging, and plastic-lined materials should stay out of the recycling bin. Remember: some paper products that cannot be recycled may still be compostable!

Small choices make a meaningful difference. Save this guide for your next recycling day and share it with a neighbor. 🌎💚
