Dear God, thank You for this new day and for the process of emptying that You’ve been doing in me. Your word in Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” God, some of what I wanted for myself had to be burned on the altar, in prayer and in tears, and I’m learning that surrender isn’t loss, it’s making room for Your will instead of mine. Help me keep my eyes fixed on eternity instead of my own agenda. I want to live like someone who’s already died to self so that Christ can live fully through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

But our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. -Philippians 3:20

Dear God, thank You for this new day and thank You for equipping me with everything I need to be fruitful in what You’ve called me to do. Your word in 2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to glory and virtue.” God, I don’t want to walk around today like something is missing when You’ve already placed everything I need inside me. I’m anointed, I’m chosen, and I’m called, and I’m not lacking anything. Whatever I gain from today, I give the honor and the glory right back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. -Matthew 25:23

Activate the Power

Today's Scripture
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
Philippians 2:13, NLT

Today’s Word
Sometimes God asks us to do things that are hard. It might be to forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it, to take the management position but we don’t feel qualified, to quit hanging around a friend who’s pulling us down. We know what we’re supposed to do, but we don’t think we can do it, and we talk ourselves out of it. But God will never ask you to do something and not give you the ability to do it. When you feel that God is telling you to teach a class, to get back in shape, or to not be so critical and judgmental, He always gives you the power to obey.

Now here’s the key: You activate the power by acting on it. As long as you’re waiting, you’re not going to tap into it. When you make a move to obey, you will feel the grace, the strength, and the favor to do it. And anytime you obey, there’s a blessing that follows. It’s what allows God to release more favor and influence in your life.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are working in me and giving me the desire to obey You. Thank You that I have the power to overcome and be disciplined to do what You ask me to do. I believe that the forces for me are greater than the forces against me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Dear God, thank You for this new day and for Your word that I can fully trust. Your word in 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” God, just like David wrote by the Spirit’s revelation, help me trust that Your word carries truth I could never fully grasp on my own strength, my degrees, or my church attendance. You’re not a man that You should lie, so if You said You’re a deliverer, You can do it. If You said You’re a way maker, a provider, a healer, and a restorer, I believe You today. Help me walk in that confidence in whatever I face this morning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? -Numbers 23:19
