Lillies of the Kingdom (LOK) is the Women's Ministry of Chosen Vessels Ministries (CVM). LOK was launched to help minister to every aspect of a woman's life. We are not only concerned with the spiritual growth of the woman, but helping her to be whole emotionally, physically and financially. We are a faith-based ministry and strive to build women from all walks of life. We believe in fostering sisterhood that will last a lifetime.

"Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious." (1 Peter 2:1-3)

Some things you are holding onto do not allow you to move forward. If you are harboring unforgiveness, ill-will, malice, hatred, jealousy, envy, wrath, and/or bitterness, then you are not free. These are matters of the heart that need to be purged so you can move forward. When you continue to allow these things to go on repeat in your mind, it taints your spirit.

You must be like the Psalmist David and say, "Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew in me a right spirit." (Psalms 51:10). As the late Bishop Willie McGee said, "If your spirit is wrong, you are wrong." Let the Lord do an inside job on you.

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God" (James 1:19-20). Beloved let us be mindful not to speak out of anger. Speaking in anger can be detrimental to us. It greatly impacts our righteousness. Therefore we must guard our speech. "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man" (Colossians 4:6).

Our conversation should always be one that would be edifying. Our communication should be that of understanding, patience and grace. So beloved as we communicate with others, let us slow down and have peace with one another. In this season, we must remember to "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" (Hebrews 12:14). When it is all said and done, we do not want our mouths and words spoken out of turn to make us miss opportunities.

What we speak out of turn it often negates many things. Let us choose our words carefully. Remember that is what is in our hearts greatly influences what we speak. "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh" (James 6:45). What are we allowing to come out of our mouths?

"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:1-8)

God is working it out in our favor. There will be many who will have no regard for our God and faith in our God. Do not worry about that but keep praying and asking God to deal with their heart. God will avenge His own. Do not allow an unjust situation or ungodly behaviors of others cause faith to decline. God will allow those who are holding what rightfully belongs to His children to release it. God has the ability to shut the mouths of the lions that were supposed to eat us alive. God is yet able to reverse the decree made by the king.

When we go before God in prayer, we will find our accusers gone. We will be like the woman caught in adultery when Jesus asks where are thine accusers. The very ones who accuse us do not want to be exposed, so they will hide. It is alright. Keep praying. Get back in line and let the Lord handle the hidden enemies. Keep doing what the Lord said. Prayer is the key, and the prayer must be done in faith. Faith moves God.

Although it did not turn out the way you thought it would does not mean God is not concerned about you or your situation. This too will pass. Know that the Lord is concerned about everything that concerns you, and it will be well with you. Sometimes, we fail to take heed to what God has already spoken to us, so He allows wake-up calls to get us back on track. We must not take His instructions lightly but find ourselves walking in obedience to His Word so we do not experience unnecessary disappointment and hurt. Obedience is better than to sacrifice. Do not sacrifice or delay the blessings of God for your life because you fail to take heed to direction. So rise up and get back in line. There is so much more for you to accomplish despite what has occurred in your past. Better days are ahead.

"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing" (James 1:3-4). According to 1st Corinthians 13:1, love is patient. Romans 5:3 tells us that tribulation also worketh patience. And Galatians 5:22 shows us that longsuffering (patience) is a fruit of the Spirit.

Do we really have patience? Are we allowing the Lord to perfect us while we wait. Patience is a byproduct of love according to the Word of God. We are not just talking about patience with people, but patience to receive the promises of God. Do we really trust God as we should? Do we have an unwavering faith in Him?

As we grow in our faith, our level of patience should also increase. We know that the timing of God is exact for everything we need. There is no need to rush trying to make something God has promised manifest itself before it is time. It is the trying of our faith that worketh patience. We know that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting or depending on the Lord strengthens us in areas of weakness. We are to pray and have patience that it will work in our favor in due season. In our waiting period, stay faithful to the things of God.

Just like baking a cake, it must bake until the batter is done in the inside. It can rise and have a beautiful color on the outside, but the batter is not set in the inside. This is what happens to many of us when we step outside of God's timing because we lack patience. Everything looks good on the outside, but still a raw batter on the inside. So be patient and trust the timing of God. We want to see the manifestation of what God has for us. Sometimes it requires us to hold on just a little while longer. We must prepare ourselves for what is to come while we are waiting.
