A year ago, we gathered for Raising Our Voices, and we’re looking forward to doing it again this fall!

This year’s event will focus on Youth Mental Health & Anti-Bullying—two issues that continue to affect children, young people, families, schools, and churches in our communities.

We’ll hear from Melissa Lee, M.A., LCPC, Youth Community Supervisor at Rosecrance, about how we can better support young people. We’ll also hear the latest advocacy updates from Children’s Advocates for Change and recognize individuals and organizations who are making a difference through our Annual Child Advocacy Awards.

Here is Pastor Shaun at the recent New Pastor Orientation where he met and connected with the NIC cabinet members and fellow new pastors in the conference.

Welcoming new pastors to Northern Illinois!

Earlier this week, pastors who are new to ministry and those beginning their ministry in Northern Illinois gathered for New Pastor Orientation. The day offered an opportunity to connect with colleagues, learn more about the conference and, receive practical training for the journey ahead.

We’re grateful for these pastors and the gifts they bring to our churches and communities. Please join us in welcoming them and praying for them as they begin this new season of ministry.
