Yesterday was my last day as First Lady and Community Service Leader of IBC. It was an honor and a privilege to serve. I absolutely love what I do. I had 4 missions and goals I set for myself and the church and I was able to accomplish 3 of them. I call that a WIN! 1. God sent me a food pantry to partner with after I stepped out on faith and created this page with no resources at all at the time. Thank you so much Natia. We've given out over 1500 boxes. 2. I created a free thrift store where the community and anyone in need can come and shop when the weather doesn't allow the racks to be outside. Special shout out to Nichelle Mack, Harmony Macon and Pam Truvillian. Thank you to everyone who helped distribute boxes and helped me any capacity. Thank you IBC deacons! 3. I was able to obtain toys to bless our VBS, Sabbath school kids, South Suburban school kids and other children. Thanks to Stan and Enid Williams who showed up after I put the bat signal up. Putting clothes and food out on Wednesdays was such a blessing and I met some wonderful people who became regulars. I've learned so much and I look forward to what my next set of missions and goals bring. Like my grandma would say, this is not good bye but see ya later! Please enjoy the tour of the completed thrift store. Blessings!
