Sermon Series: Forming a Family/Preparing a People
This Week: To Be a Blessing

God called Abraham to leave everything he knew and go somewhere new. What would you do if God called you to do the same?

Come worship with us on Saturday at 5 pm and Sunday at 9 am. The 9 am service is also live-streamed on our YouTube channel. Find links to more information at blcin.com/worship

Just showing up because you love people and can’t not show up—that’s where God meets you.

If you missed us in person this morning for Holy Trinity Sunday, the full service is now available online.

Join us for worship, music, and a sermon called “Spirit in Partnership” where Pastor Ruth explores what it actually looks like when God shows up in the daily texture of your life—in the moments when you’re barely holding it together, when you’re not sure you have anything to give, when you just show up because you love people and can’t not show up.

The Trinity meets us there. Every day.

We won’t be at Light the Way in downtown Chesterton tonight as planned. Pastor Ruth was called away this evening and couldn’t make it happen. We’re sorry to miss it and hope you’ll still drop by and enjoy the event!

Congrats Mara!

From Kindergarten to Graduation! 🎓✨
We are so incredibly proud to announce the recipient of the Liberty Elementary Scholarship: Mara! This special scholarship is awarded to a student who has dedicated their entire academic journey to the Chesterton school system. To celebrate this lifelong commitment to our schools, Dr. Bennett has personally covered the full $1,000 scholarship to help Mara as she begins her next chapter.
Mara is a talented member of the CHS Show Choir and will be heading to Saint Olaf College in Minnesota this fall to study Psychology and Journalism.
Join us in congratulating Mara on her hard work and wishing her the best of luck in the North Star State! 🍎🎶

New Sermon Series: God Poured Out
"Spirit Unbounded"
What images come to mind when you hear the phrase “poured out”? Maybe it’s the exhaustion of giving all you have, or the joy of gathering around tables filled with stories, laughter, and love.
This Pentecost, we celebrate the God who pours out the Holy Spirit abundantly and without limit.
The Spirit is moving among us. Will we follow where God leads?

Gather with us on Saturdays at 5 pm and Sundays at 9 am. The Sunday service is also streamed via our YouTube channel. Learn more at blcin.com/worship

🩵 DIAPER DRIVE ALERT 🩵

Our partners at the diaper pantry recently lost funding, which means many of the families they served — along with the families that reach out to us — now have nowhere else to turn. 😭

No parent should ever feel forced to steal basic necessities just to keep their baby clean, dry, and healthy.

A strong support system means less desperation, less crime, fewer families torn apart, fewer children entering foster care, less incarcerations and all that also equals less taxes and a stronger safer community for everyone.

We are now collecting:
🍼 Disposable diapers
🧺 NEW cloth diapers
🧻 Baby wipes (sensitive skin prefered)
🧴 Diaper creams (any brand , must be sealed)

We hope to make this a year long ongoing program. If we are so graced with an over abundance of diapers we may put the program on hold for taking donations. The Really Free Marketplace willl also have the availability to distribute these donations at their Markets.

📍 Donation Off Location:
Bethlehem Lutheran Church ELCA

🕘 Monday–Thursday: 9AM–2PM
📦 Wednesdays: 5PM–7PM during The Really Free Marketplace

✅ Please label donations with:
• Size (if just an unopened clear sleeve)
• SDAYR (so the person collecting knows were to put away)

🧸 Businesses, churches, salons, gyms, restaurants, dr offices and offices in general — we need local diaper box hosts too!
Same structure as toys for tots but Diapers for Tots

Please share, donate, or message us if you would like to help support Northwest Indiana families. ❤️

If you want to help us purchase these items for our Diaper Closet visit santadeliversayr.org and choose to donate to the last resort diaper program
