Join us for our summer Equip series starting June 7th, where you will hear individual lessons on a variety of topics from a variety of teachers. Those of you with kids don’t have to worry about the extra time, because our kids’ ministry leaders are excited to have them in their classes for both hours, and they even have unique content for each hour so that your kids can be engaged with fresh material. Keep an eye out for the schedule that will be coming out soon, and each Sunday you can pick one session to attend and then go to the main service for the other hour. See you there, and whatever you do, remember to stay close to Christ!

In his final admonition to us, James calls for us to go to extreme lengths in displaying our love for one another. Our love for one another – and for Christ! – should be so strong that when caught up in sin, we are willing to do whatever it takes to help each other return to being doers of the Word. Do you love your brother enough to do the hard work required to call them back to the truth of Christ when they wander into sinfulness? Join us this week at either 9am or 10:45am as James brings us to a surprising conclusion! Livestream available on our YouTube channel.

Elijah was a man like us, and he kept praying even when it was to his own hurt. Why? Check out this sermon to hear why and how Elijah prayed and what this teaches us about how we should pray.

Join us this Sunday as James teaches us how to pray effectively. Having learned last week what prayer is, we’ll learn this week how to do it well. Because prayer is the most often neglected of all the spiritual disciplines, it’s critical for us to learn a different perspective on the joy and privilege that is ours in prayer. Join us at either 9am or 10:45am for a fresh perspective on a key aspect of practical Christian living!

Throughout the book, James has been pushing us to be faithful doers of the word, walking in dependence on the Lord for grace, growth, and guidance. In the conclusion of his book, he teaches us what prayer is and how to do it well so that we might actively demonstrate our dependence on Christ. Check out the sermon from last Sunday to learn a different perspective on the joy and privilege that is ours in prayer, and join us next week as we continue to study this key discipline of Christian living.
