Do you wish you had time to go to church, but you have other Sunday morning commitments? Or maybe you don't drive. Or perhaps there's another reason why you don't attend church. Well, don't let "attendance" stand in your way!

Every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. CDT, Green Trails Church live streams our worship service AND we make the recording available on YouTube so you can watch when it's a more convenient time for you.

To watch the live stream, go to https://umcgt.org/sermons/ and click on the Watch Live button.

To watch the service later, go to our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/ and look under Past Live Streams or Videos to find the most recent recordings.

We hope to "see" you there!

Did you miss last week's service? Or would you like to rewatch it? It was centered around the theme of "Why Comparison Kills Joy", and how the digital world we live in today sets the trap of comparison for us time and again. Watch here!

Join us at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, for a stirring performance of John Rutter's "Requiem" at the United Methodist Church of Green Trails (14237 Ladue Road in Chesterfield, MO). This event is free and open to the public.

Composed in 1985, "Requiem" is one of John Rutter’s most beloved choral works. Written in memory of the composer’s father, the piece blends the traditional Latin Requiem text with selected English psalms and biblical passages. Rather than focusing on the dramatic imagery of judgment often associated with traditional requiem settings, Rutter’s work emphasizes comfort, peace, and the promise of eternal rest.

Rutter’s Requiem is widely admired for its lyrical melodies, rich harmonies and profound emotional depth. Its music offers a message of consolation and hope, making it one of the most beautiful and frequently performed sacred choral works of the late 20th century.

This concert, which will feature 23 singers and instrumentalists from across the St. Louis region, is part of Green Trail’s Soltau Concert Series.

It’s crazy how often we scroll through social media and—without even realizing it—start measuring our lives against someone else’s highlight reel. Perfect homes. Perfect bodies. Perfect families. Perfect vacations.

But what we’re really seeing are carefully chosen moments—filtered, edited, and framed to look a certain way. Meanwhile, we’re comparing those snapshots to our unfiltered reality … the messy, complicated truth of our everyday lives.

No wonder it can leave us feeling like we’re falling short.

The truth is, comparison quietly steals our joy. It shifts our focus from gratitude to lack, from contentment to insecurity. And the more we do it, the easier it becomes to forget who we are and WHOSE we are.

But here’s the reminder we all need: your life doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be meaningful, beautiful and enough. God didn’t create you to be a copy of someone else. God created you intentionally, uniquely, and with deep love.

📖"Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.” — Galatians 6:4 (The Message)

You are not behind. You are not less than. You are not missing something everyone else has.

You are seen. You are known. And you are beautifully made—just as you are. 💛

⛪️Join us in worship at Green Trails Church this Sunday morning at 10 a.m. as we dig into the dangers of comparison that are so often rooted in social media.

Come as you are ... leave changed.

Join us a Green Trails Church TONIGHT at 7 p.m. for a Valentine's Concert performed by the After Hours Jazz Ensemble. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend.

Bring your sweetheart, a friend, or "that special someone" to enjoy timeless classics such as Blue Skies, Misty, Love for Sale, My Foolish Heart, It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing, and many more. There will be a variety of music from Irving Berlin, Earth, Wind & Fire, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, Glenn Miller, and Cole Porter, to name a few, with beautiful ballads, exciting swing music and Latin styles. This is not a dance, but you may have some trouble sitting still!

We hope to see you there!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and
I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Rest isn’t something you earn after you push harder.
It’s something Jesus offers right where you are.
If today feels heavy, let this be enough.

We sang a song in worship on Sunday that helps us feel the comforting presence of Jesus:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.

If you are seeking a place of rest, of refuge from the burdens of life, come visit us at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings at Green Trails Church, and let us show you how the peace that only Jesus can give is at work in our church and in our people here.
