There is a moment in Acts 4 where the religious authorities drag Peter and John in front of the council, demand to know who gave them the right to do what they did, and essentially tell them to stop talking about Jesus.

And Peter and John look at them and say: we cannot stop. We simply cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.

That is not defiance for its own sake. That is what happens when you have actually experienced something. When the good news is not a theological position you hold but a story you lived through. You do not stop talking about it because you cannot. It is too real and too good and too life-changing to keep to yourself.

This Sunday we are sitting with that kind of witness. The kind that does not come from having the right credentials or the right words. It comes from having been somewhere and seen something and refusing to pretend you did not.

We hope you will join us. Worship is at 10:00 AM.

Today, backpacks hit the floor for the last time until fall, and something holy happens in that moment.

Summer is full of possibility, and we are praying over every single one of your kids as they step into it. Whether this season brings rest, adventure, new friendships, or a little bit of growing up they weren't quite expecting, may they know they are deeply loved, fiercely held, and never alone.

Now we want to see those last-day-of-school photos! Drop them in the comments and let the Trinity family celebrate with you. Every grade, every milestone, every grin holding that handmade sign. We are cheering you on. 🎉

We had the best time last weekend, and it was all for an incredible cause.

On May 16, we partnered with Beulah Recreation Center and Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation to host a charity pickleball tournament in support of our Homes For All program. Ten mixed-doubles teams, ages 50 and up, brought serious energy to the court, competing in a double-elimination tournament for prizes, yes, but more importantly, for families in our community who need a safe and permanent place to call home.

Participants enjoyed a free Gentle Yoga session with Ginger Cook from Sportable before the tournament, and Laurel Gregory from Fitness Warriors was there afterward for stretching and massage therapy. The competition was electric, the atmosphere was warm and supportive, and the whole day felt like exactly what community is supposed to look like.

Thank you to everyone who sponsored, volunteered, played, and cheered. And a special thank you to Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation for putting together this beautiful video capturing the day!

You all showed up for Homes For All, and that means everything.

The sword of the Spirit is not yours to wield.

Paul's description of the armor of God in Ephesians 6 is full of defensive equipment.
The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation. All of it is designed to protect, to hold on, to endure the hard days.

And there is only one offensive weapon in the whole list. One. The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. But Paul is careful about who gets to hold it. It is the sword of the Spirit, not our sword. The Spirit does the cutting if cutting needs to be done. The Spirit does the trimming. That is not our job.

Our job is to love. Abundantly. Extravagantly. Because we choose to and because God has created us and called us and equipped us for exactly that.

We are not here to beat people over the head with the word of God. We are here to love them with it. That is the whole assignment.
