This Sunday, we’re excited to introduce a new song to our FBC family called “Abide.”

Jesus reminds us in John 15:5, “Apart from me you can do nothing.” What a beautiful reminder that our strength, hope, and joy are found in remaining close to Christ and depending on Him for everything.

We encourage you to listen to this song before Sunday and come ready to sing these wonderful truths together!

Use code GIVE to save 25% while helping the family, but no code is required. Check out the Facebook Event on our page and mark yourself as Interested. We’ll conclude our “Blueprint for Healthy Church Leadership and Membership” series from 1 Peter 5:5–14 with a call to “Put on the Apron of Humility.”

Join us for a time of Q&A with Chris West, our potential Pastor of Worship, Administration, and Development, and his wife, Jennifer. This will be a great opportunity to get to know them and hear Chris share more about his testimony, call to ministry, experience & heart for worship, discipleship, and the local church. Donuts & juice will be provided!

We’d love for you to submit your questions for Chris and Jennifer to [email protected] by Thursday, October 8 at 1 PM.

🎶 10:45 AM — Worship Service
Chris will lead us in worship, followed by the congregational vote.

Please be praying for FBC, Chris and Jennifer West, and God’s guidance as we seek His will together. We hope you’ll join us!

Quick Reminder!

📖 New Members Class
Beginning Sunday, September 6 | 9:30 AM
During the Sunday School hour

Tomorrow, we start a three-week New Members Class during the 9:30 Sunday School hour. If you have been visiting FBC for a while and have considered church membership or have questions about what we believe or our strategy and mission, this is a great class for you!

Becoming part of a church family is about more than simply having your name on a membership list. It’s an opportunity to understand who we are as a church and what it means to commit ourselves to Christ and to His church.

Throughout the three weeks, we’ll discuss our church structure, beliefs, mission, strategies, partnerships, and what it means to faithfully follow Christ as a committed member of His church. We’ll also help you learn how to share your evangelistic testimony of how Jesus saved you from your sins and how he can save others in your circle of influence. It will also be an opportunity for you to learn more about your spiritual gifts and how God might use you to serve him in ministry.

You’ll also be able to ask questions, and we hope to have some good discussion together. I’d love to have you join us at 9:30 in the education building just past the cry room on the right. 😁
