Refuge Church

Refuge Church We are a transparent community of Christ followers that loves and finds refuge in God, loves others &

Our church is called Refuge, because Jesus Christ is our only true refuge that can bring forgiveness, life, freedom and empowerment. It is our desire to be an outward focused, non-traditional, multiplying (church that plants churches), church that faithfully teaches the Bible and engages the community with the hope of Jesus and sees it radically changed. We want to be a church that is serious abou

t living in authentic community with one another and making disciples that make disciples. A lot of times people feel like they have to act differently when they come to church; but we want people to know that Refuge Church is a place that full of real people with real struggles, problems, shortcomings, addictions and that live in the real world. It is a safe place where you can come to connect with a real God that loves us. It our goal to maintain transparency and honesty about God’s work in our lives (be it joyful or painful), allowing people to know that Refuge Church is a safe place for all to be real. Our motto is “NO PERFECT PEOPLE ALLOWED,” because it reminds us that no one is perfect accept for Jesus, so everyone is welcome.

We are so excited to worship Jesus today at 4 PM! It’s going to be our final worship gathering as solely Refuge before we join together with First Baptist Charlestown next Sunday. God is doing something new, and we are excited!

Today we will share testimonies of God’s faithfulness in our lives throughout our time at Refuge and talk about ways we are going to pass on God’s faithfulness intentionally. God has been so good to us!

There will be no livestream of the service today, but we invite you to join us in person at 930 Market St in Charlestown.

Refuge, as you enter the foyer today, please pick up one of the 40 day prayer guides for Refuge/FBC. We want to intentionally cover this time of upcoming transition in prayer! Each day has a specific passage and specific things pray over.

Thank you so much Cassie Frost for putting these together!

Hope everyone had an incredible Thanksgiving!

We are so excited to start our advent series this Sunday as we look toward the Christ child. Our children and teens will be helping us lead the service this week. Throughout the series, we'll be talking about "An invitation to the Unfaithful and the Unqualified."

Here's one of the songs we'll be singing. Thank God that He didn't come for the faithful.

Praise God! Thank you all for your generosity. From all the gift cards and non-perishable foods and cash that you have donated, we have enough to cover all 10 families (49 people) for Thanksgiving meals!

If you have already purchased items that you planned to bring this Sunday, we will definitely use them to bless these families or others.

If you have not purchased items and were planning to donate, I would encourage you to meet a need of someone else that you know and share the love of Jesus with them!

Y’all rock! Thanks for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
