Chambersburg Church of The Brethren

Chambersburg Church of The Brethren A family of God, growing in Christ, empowered to serve The Chambersburg congregation was established in 1908. Our District Executive is William Waugh.

The Home Mission Board of the Southern Pennsylvania District of Church of the Brethren built the original Chambersburg Church, and the congregation was officially organized in 1910. The Chambersburg Church of the Brethren is one of eight congregations in the Franklin County area. Other Brethren congregations in Franklin County include Dry Run, Falling Spring, Greencastle, Rouzerville, Shanks, and

Waynesboro. Along with these congregations Chambersburg is part of a larger group of congregations in the region that make up the Southern Pennsylvania District. The 40 congregations collectively support numerous programs including The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, Pennsylvania, Children’s Aid Society in New Oxford, Chambersburg and York, Pennsylvania, and Camp Eder in Fairfield, Pennsylvania.

Tomorrow is the Fourth Street Church Trap Shoot! 🎯

We would like to invite to all men and women that would like to partake in an late afternoon, early evening, of trap shooting and fellowship.

We plan to meet Tuesday, September 8th at the St. Thomas Sportsman's Association's property at 595 Apple Way, St. Thomas around 3:30 PM.

A rain date for this event would be the following Tuesday, September 15th.

You don't need to know anything about trap shooting... It's all about fellowship!

And if you do not own a sh***un, fear not. There will be plenty of 12 ga., 16 ga., and 20 ga. sh***uns available. One round of trap consists of 5 shots from 5 stations for a total of 25 shots.

A round of trap costs $5.00/member of St. Thomas Sportsman's and $7.00/non-member.

Am******on should be low-brass 7½ or 8 shot. The club offers 12 ga. ammo for $10/box.

When Jesus changes us, it should make a difference.

Being rooted in Jesus isn’t just about what we believe—it’s about who we are becoming. When Christ takes root in our lives, His love, grace, compassion, and passion begin to show through the way we live and the way we treat others.

What would it look like for the world to see more of Jesus through us?

❤️ Be rooted in Jesus. Live passionately. Become His hands and feet in the world. Be Jesus in the neighborhood.

What would the welcome of Jesus look like in our lives? A place at the table for everyone. A willingness to see, receive...

What would the welcome of Jesus look like in our lives?

A place at the table for everyone. A willingness to see, receive, and love our neighbors as God has welcomed us. Our welcome isn’t simply something we offer from time to time—it can become a way of life, a habit, a mindset, and a commitment.

When we choose to welcome others, we become God’s hands and reflect God’s heart. And perhaps God has purposes for our obedience that we cannot yet see.

How might God continue to use each of us to be God’s hands and to reflect God’s heart as we welcome each other, as we welcome our neighbors in the same ways that God has welcomed us?

May our welcome look a little more like Jesus. ❤️
