The Porch Young Adult Ministry The Porch is a young adult ministry that exists to gather individuals to support and challenge one another while centering our lives on Jesus Christ.

Life is so much better when you are in community with Jesus and others. We gather on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month!

The weather is warming up, Colleges & Universities wrapped up semesters, vacations may be on your horizon!
Here is our schedule for the month:
We meet tonight to kick off our Summer large gathering teaching series: The Serving Challenge; we will have a “Summer of Service” serving opportunity once a month this summer to coincide with our series, a way to be God’s Hands & Feet in our local community!—this month’s anticipated date is Saturday, June 20th; and we officially wrap up both small group studies this month!

Our Annual Norlo Park Picnic that was rained out last week will be THIS Thursday, May 28th!
Still at 6:30PM, still providing hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks!
Bring a side or dessert, if you are able.

Hard to believe we are at the last day of April already!
Here are a few photos from over the past three months:
This past weekend Colin & Brooke hosted us for some community time around a campfire, we followed Tal the young architect’s journey in The Path series, and we went ice skating back in February!

There’s no large gathering or small group tonight as we observe Sabbath Fifth Thursday, and we will see you all next week for our first Thursday large gathering of May!

Hard to believe we are already in April!
We gather tonight (April 2nd)!
King Street Church is hosting a Maundy Thursday/Remembrance of The Lord’s Last Supper worship service this evening at 6pm and then we will have our typical large gathering after that shortly after 7pm.

We wrap up The Path series this month with Sessions 7 & 8. We are gathering at the Stouffer’s for a campfire later this month (dm us if you are interested & need the address). And there’s five Thursdays this month, so we will observe that as our Sabbath Thursday and not have any structured gathering on the 30th.

We have entered March and Spring is (hopefully soon) on its way! This month, we have a full lineup of Thursdays continuing in The Path series and our guys & girls small group studies, we “Spring” our clocks forward this month, and we have the opportunity to serve Once More Ministries, a local toiletries organization that cares for our community!

In January, we rang in the New Year, launched a new large gathering series, and survived a snow storm.
Now it’s February! Looking forward to more opportunities of Christ-centered community this month as we continue “The Path” large gathering series, guys & girls small groups kick-off a new study, and we have an ice skating event planned at the end of the month. ⛸️
