How are you giving thanks today?

"Now Thank We All Our God", number 102 in The United Methodist Hymnal, invites us to consider what we have received from God, and how we might proclaim our gratitude. Surprisingly, the words for the hymn were written amidst struggle and want, as Martin Rinckart and his family were refugees during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648).

🎶"Now thank we all our God,
with heart and hands and voices,
who wondrous things has done,
in whom this world rejoices;
who from our mothers’ arms
has blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love,
and still is ours today." 🎹

Where and when do you encounter stillness in your soul?

"Be Still, My Soul" (no. 534 in The United Methodist Hymnal) is an 18th-century German hymn written by Katherine von Schlegel and translated by Jane Borthwick. The song invites us to focus less on our cares and more on the strong presence of God in our lives. Though the world around us changes, God's faithfulness remains.

It is a timeless message! 🙏

Join Us in Supporting Our Volunteers! ❤️

For the past 15 years, our incredible Volunteers in Mission (VIM) Team has faithfully traveled to Camp Norwesca to serve. They spend an entire week tackling projects that help keep our camp beautiful, safe, and ready to welcome campers, retreats, and guests throughout the year.

This year's team will be serving August 30 – September 5, and we'd love your help in showing them just how much we appreciate all they do!

One of the easiest and most meaningful ways to support them is by providing a meal during their week at camp. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even dessert, every donation is a blessing and lets these hardworking volunteers know how grateful we are.

This year is especially meaningful, as this could potentially be the VIM Team's final year of service at Camp Norwesca after 15 incredible years. We'd love to make this week extra special as a way of thanking them for the countless hours they've given to our ministry.

If you're able to help provide a meal, please sign up using the link below.
Thank you for helping us love and care for those who have spent so many years loving and caring for Camp Norwesca. ❤️

Sunday is the second week of our series about mental wellness. We’ll continue by examining another psalm. Psalm 126 is one of the psalms of ascent, a group of fifteen psalms that may have been sung by pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem or as they climbed the steps to the temple. This psalm speaks to ...
