“Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

They Made Light Of It - a sermon by Kevin Presley

Would you turn down the invitation to a royal wedding? Most are never offered such a privilege and it would be unusual to refuse to attend. Jesus told a story of a king who held a wedding feast for his son and his invitation was casually dismissed by ones who you would think would be part of such an auspicious occasion. They instead went to tend to every day affairs at their farms or businesses and they "made light" of the king's invitation. The king was angry with their flippant unconcern about the celebration of his son's wedding. In this broadcast of Let the Bible Speak, we consider several things that are of great importance that we are sometimes guilty of making light of as well.
