We keep a fast-paced schedule at camp 99% of the time. There are classes to teach, games to play, and places to be.
But every now and then, the Lord blesses us with a perfect camp evening.
The temperature drops. The sun starts to set. A cool June breeze rolls across the Hill.
And when that happens, sometimes you throw the schedule away.
No organized games. No theme night. No agenda.
Just kids being kids.
Running across the playground. Swinging as high as they can. Playing tag. Laughing with friends. Making memories they’ll talk about long after camp is over.
No phones. No tablets. No notifications. No distractions.
Just a beautiful Tennessee evening and the simple joy of being a kid.
Nights like this remind us that some of the best moments at camp aren’t the ones we plan.
They’re the ones we simply get out of the way and let happen. ❤️🏕️
